I love the look of Krypton. Crystal planet was fine and I won't bash it but I wanted something different for this film.
Did you guys think the special effects looked good ? I have read a few complaints.
is it me or this trailer has a different screen ratio than the others?....it does have a bigger resolution (1920x1080 instead of 1920x800)
the effects look like a Snyder movie. a lot of stylized lighting. i dont have a problem.Did you guys think the special effects looked good ? I have read a few complaints.
Well, since my phone is a piece of ****, I didn't get the 1:10AM alarm I had set. But I did wake up at 3:30AM so then I saw the trailer... and... HOLY GOD DAMN!
What a trailer.
I think my favourite bit of the trailer was the "You are my son" line from Costner, very emotional. Lots of cool action bits and the music is pretty good (although not anywhere close to the Williams score but that's expected); really suits a modern-day Superman. I have a lot more faith in Cavill due to the final bit in the trailer but I'm still wondering about Clark and if we will get the reporter/awkward buffoon act. Can't wait for more footage in TV spots, clips etc.
Bring on June 14!![]()

i am happy that its new and that it doesnt look like Star trek and Star Wars. fanboys dont have imagination so they only know how to copy. over 10 years Krypton was supposed to look like SW and ST. happy that they made it organic. its hard to describe. it works.I love the look of Krypton. t: Of course this looked more badass.
Just saw the trailer and its fantastic although I think they could've shown a little bit more new footage but anyway a couple things I notice upon multiple viewings. There's seem to be several creatures that will feature in the film, I was wondering what is that flying creature that catches/saves supes? from falling and that big tentacled thing is definitely not mechanical atleast it doesn't look like it.

Visual effects are an easy goto for people to whine about. I'm not saying don't complain but some people complain about even the best effects because of rose colored glasses about old films.
i just hope that crowe doesn't call it kryptin like brando did.
Yeah, such a simple line and yet the delivery just tugs at your heartstrings. People give Costner a lot of crap for some of his past films (Robin Hood, Waterworld) but in the right role, the man is amazing (Dances with Wolves, JFK, Mr. Brooks and hopefully, Man of Steel).
true. i forgot about that movie. The look of Krypton sort of reminds me of mars from John Carter.

Does anyone know what's going in this scene:

Based on Cavill's face Superman is really under a lot of strain here. When I first saw it I actually thought of Thor, the way Supes holds his hands up, almost like Thor creating a storm with his hammer.t: Of course this looked more badass.
