Wish this was on XBL so I could watch it on my tv dozens and dozens of times

did anyone else get kind of a Brainiac vibe from the tentacle pod thingy in the trailer?

I agree, which is why that particular criticism of SR is strange for me.

Men have emotions. I am all for male leads crying. I just didn't think Routh's reason to cry in Returns was justified. I guess I should say I didn't "care".
Anyway enough about men crying and Returns, back to MOS.

I'm assuming you have an XBOX.

you can download the trailer to a USB stick, then plug that into your XBOX and watch it that way.

that's what I did with my PS3, and the trailer is indeed AWESOME on the big screen!!

Hmm just read an article on that squid-like alien/monster. It may be Starro. :woot:

haha Shannon is playing Zod so crazy. yes baby.

For what it's worth, the Man of Steel trailer thread has just under 20,000 upvotes on reddit, whereas the Star Trek trailer only has 6500.

The most upvotes an Iron Man 3 trailer received was 16,000.

The reaction to this trailer across the internet leads me to believe this could be a $1 billion+ movie.

That doesn't surprise me.

People can argue all they want that Batman has superceded Superman in recent years, and that Superman as a character is not the big draw he once was - but I don't buy that for a minute. He's the granddaddy of all superheroes, and the Superman symbol is one of the most enduring and recognisable icons on Earth (along with Coca Cola and McDonalds :D). The character never went away, he just wasn't presented as well as he could have been in recent years when it came to TV & movies. As big as Iron Man, Batman, Spiderman, Thor, Green Lantern and so on are ............... Superman is still the biggest. I bet your grandmother would struggle to recognise Green Lantern, but she will sure as hell know who Superman is.

Many of us saw the 1978 film as kids, or at home with families after it's theatrical run .................. and hopefully these fans will now be going to see this one along with their kids. It's a nice feeling to have the character refreshed and back on our big screens after so long.

Hell I didn't even think about that.

Did you guys think the special effects looked good ? I have read a few complaints.

glad I'm not the only one.

and good to see the Lexcorp building. which hopefully means we get corporate Lex and FINALLY be free of stupid real estate scheme Lex.......

and thank ZOD we're getting a Krypton that's more than just a blah Ice/Crystal planet!

Hell I didn't even think about that.

the only downside to the Xbox, is that you can't save the video file to your hard drive to watch without the stick. which is pretty stupid if you ask me.......

but it's better than nothing........

Well, since my phone is a piece of ****, I didn't get the 1:10AM alarm I had set. But I did wake up at 3:30AM so then I saw the trailer... and... HOLY GOD DAMN!

What a trailer.

I think my favourite bit of the trailer was the "You are my son" line from Costner, very emotional. Lots of cool action bits and the music is pretty good (although not anywhere close to the Williams score but that's expected); really suits a modern-day Superman. I have a lot more faith in Cavill due to the final bit in the trailer but I'm still wondering about Clark and if we will get the reporter/awkward buffoon act. Can't wait for more footage in TV spots, clips etc.

Bring on June 14! :supes: :super:

is it me or this trailer has a different screen ratio than the others?....it does have a bigger resolution (1920x1080 instead of 1920x800)
