Yeah, I liked that too! But there, the world already knew of Superman and his powers. The robber "should" have known that the handgun bullets would not harm Superman, Especially after shooting him with about 5000 round of 50 cal BMG!
But it was a cool moment...

Yeah, but he thought the eyeball would have been his weak spot.
But, in terms of what you are looking for, criminal's reactions to a newly unveiled Superman, you get a couple of good ones in SMTV, the guy climbing the building with the magnetic clamps, and the guy who smacks him on the back of the head with the crowbar.
To be honest I don't know how you'd do a better reaction to him being bulletproof than a crook going right up to his eyeball to try and shoot him there, it was one of the better moments of SR.
You could get some good acting out of those types of scenes though, with amusing reactions from the crooks.

Take with a grain of salt, but Imdb has Keke Palmer cast as Natasha Irons.

Edit: Take another grain salt for this, details on Jor-El's costume or atleast one of them.

Princess Leia: Help me Jor el...You're my only hope..

lol

I would have thought that they would have given Jor-el's look more color scheme to match the comics, but this assuming of course if the info is accurate.

I wouldn't be surprised though if Jor el does have a more physical/active presence on Krypton compared to previous interpretations.

I doubt that Goyer, Snyder and Nolan are big Superman fans. Not much "love" will flow into that movie. Of course I'm convinced everyone involved will try to make this movie as good as possible but you cannot fake true passion.

You know what true passion got us? Superman Returns. Just saying.

You can't know that. They could say the same about you.

Yeah, I can't know that. Like 95% things in life this is not being able to be back-uped by scientific studies. It's just my impression that I'm stating here.

True passion for the flawed Donner version. :cwink:

But of course, sometimes it's better when an outsider tackles something, like "The Wrath of Khan".

I don't think passion is neccesarily the most important thing. I think understanding comes first.

You don't have to be in love with Superman as a character to make a good movie. You just have to be able to see the big picture of his character - the parts that make him unique, the parts that are present through the majority of interpretations, the themes most important to his stories, the way he would react to certain situations etc etc.

directors have bigger ambition. they wanna do things differently. they always love to show the other side of the character. they always have the different thinking. that people are bored and have seen enough of the 'normal' side of the character. they wanna create new things. they wanna own the characters. if it's a success, they can claim that they manage to revive the character and he is their creation.

Not bad, but the classic taglines could stand to be updated somehow.'

Man, I cant WAIT to see the first teaser to MOS and see how Snyder plays it. Almost more exited to see a teaser than the actual trailer.

I would love to see Steel at some point in this (hopefully) franchise. That would be quite cool, actually.

I'm kinda shocked (again) that they seem to be going with these Donneresque suits for Zod and Jor-El. Wonder what the FOS will look like.

The only similarity this Zod has with the Donner one is that he is dressed in black. The costumes aren't anywhere near the same.

That link also describes a Jor-El costume vastly different from the Brando version.

I've been wondering if they would be fiddling with Jor-El's role in this film to make him more than just a scientist (like how he was going to be the monarch of Krypton or something in McG's version), and this costume description makes me think it even more. They do say he looks more soldier than scientist.

IF this is accurate to how he will look on-screen, it makes me wonder more about where the basis for Superman's costume comes from. Based on the design, I'm still assuming it comes from Krypton, but it sounds like Jor-El may not be wearing anything like that. Curious.

Could be a battle-suit rather than normal kryptonian wear. Same suit Zod wears when in mo-cap. Maybe he took Jor-El's as a trophy.

Oh, nice thinking. Pretty cool ideas.

I'm going to saaaaay... Don't bet on it. :yay:

I have a feeling he'll be introduced somehow. And he'll probably be alot younger than we've seen him before. He'll be that redhead in the crowd wielding his smartphone like crazy during the showdown.
Maybe he gets hired just in time as Clark and Lois are off to their first assignment together at the end of the movie.

Who knows? But I'm sure he'll be in there somewhere...

kneel this Zod!

If Souperman had a sibling, would their name be:

L El?

(J - Jor El)
(K - Kal El)
(L - L El)
(M - Mor El)
(N - Non El) hey... maybe Non is a cousin!)

etcetera, etcetera...

Halo? Pfft, and they said Snyder was abandoning his style. :oldrazz::o

What about Lana?

Not in the movie, doesn't exist... At least, for now.
