Interesting, but what date in December would MOS be released? The date Hobbit was going to premiere Dec 14th or later around Xmas. They need to go for XMas Day on a Tuesday or Dec 21st, Friday, the weekend before XMas.

I would prefer the July release date of 2013 overall though. In the end, whatever release date that would give post production enough time to make things look spectacular, and whatever would position MOS to make more money at the BO, is what I want for this film.

I think it's became cliche that every summer there's a big new Superhero flick...having it in the winter would be a nice change.

Jamie's said that already in this forum (he and Showtime run TMT), and that would explain why WETA Digital, Double Negative, and MPC are already beginning visual effects work.

I don't see why MOS has to be slated for December 21st or later. I think it'll do just fine with The Hobbit's date if WB does swap them.

I was looking forward to a Christmas release, but with June being around the time of the Superman Festival in Metropolis, it would have been pretty awesome.
