Lost in all of the recent hype I forgot to state:

Diane Lane is one my favorite MILF's :woot::hrt:

It's as if every beverage has to be a Big Gulp. Notice how flat the soda gets at around 2/3 the way through....ice all melted? :woot::O

Not if you chug it like I do.

But we all know what happened when the film was released. It got decent reviews but was considered a disappointment by fans.

It is for this reason I offer this advice to each and every one of you here: Don't get your hopes up, because if the film isn't what you expect, you'll be terribly disappointed.

Aye you may be right. In fact, I had an almost the same thought - that the film will be disappointing. That's the only critism that I believe will befall MOS. But, the crucial difference is that Snyder, Nolan, Goyer et al., were fully aware of Superman Returns' and all past Superman incarnations post-Reeve sorid history and they will be trying to avoid these mistakes. I'm fully convinced that it'll be a far better film than Superman Returns.

About the only question I have is whether Snyder can deliver a mature movie instead of his usual bombastic ones like 300 & Watchmen.

I've been browsing this forum for the past few months taking in the comments and reactions of the fans regarding this film. Some were good, some were bad, others made me go,.

But the release of the third trailer has opened the floodgates to some comments reminiscent of what happened seven years ago, when another major superhero film was set to be released. The comments were exactly the same as they are now. But we all know what happened when the film was released. It got decent reviews but was considered a disappointment by fans.

The disappointment with Returns is the only reason I am keeping my anticipation and expectations in check. I am reserving praise till roughly 3am on the 14th (assuming theaters will run midnight shows)

HAH! i was about to say...you've hit the lowest of the low if the fat ginger kid with glasses is bullying you.

So Pete Ross is going to start out bullying Cark before they become friends?

They did a good job casting young Clark. I could see him growing up to be Cavill.

Wow thats clark? i thought that scene in the trailer was of some kid running around pretending to be superman.

Thats good casting on young clark he actually looks like cavill.

I'm still amazed that they used a character originally created in "Smallville", who's also a very ****** character. :funny:

That pic of Pa and Ma Kent holding baby Clark is so heartwarming!

I was always sure that the boy with the cape playing hero was Clark. I don't get why anyone would want or think it wasn't? It's wonderful foreshadowing and an almost poetic way of showing the hero inside of him. Does it make sense in a more literal way? No, but that's the beauty of movies like this.
