they need to release this spot in hd already it is my fav. spot yet

I just saw this in HD on Comedy Central. They've been showing all the new TV spots during the commercial breaks on South Park so it allowed me to get a better snap of Lois and Jor-El together on Black Zero:

Is it true that the [BLACKOUT]Zone[/BLACKOUT] has been confirmed by the art book?

Am I the only one who thinks the CG looks totally fine?

Its some of the best CG I've ever seen in a CBM.

I really don't see where the gripes are coming from. The only shots where I could maybe see a SLIGHT problem are the quick, blurry shots. Those do look sorta fake, but only because its blurry and extra detail can't be added like it can in a slow moving, lingering or still shot.
Is that the litmus test though? It is great... for a CBM.

I personally think a lot of it looks great, some pretty darn good, and some not so hot. Considering the amount of post time you'd hope it'd be close to flawless as you can get.

One thing that I think we won't be able to tell until we see the film is how the different types of action shots go together. There are a lot of great solo shots, but I am most curious to see how they string together. How the practical plays with the CGI in transition and such.

What time did it come on?

They showed a spot (which I can't tell if it's new or not) on TeenNick during the 90's All That block.

Well good that silly argument can be put to bed :yay:

Yup and it explains how it works and how the Black Zero figures into it. :yay:
Awesome. I love that they are connecting the two. I know many have thought it would happen, but part of me was starting to think they might leave it out.

So how exactly does it work?

KANE i did it!

Probably more work than necessary, but I figured out how to slay that stupid beast hahaha. Thanks for you help though, man.

Like 30 minutes ago but they've been airing all the new TV spots during the commercial breaks.
Are you on the East coast? Because if so, I could catch them later. I am now checking the South Park commercials. Just saw the full trailer for "This is the End".

For the first one, which was downloaded, time-chopped, converted to gif, cropped and re-sized....

..... I'll take it.

Yeah after you get into a routine of making these, it becomes super easy.

Yup I am! Keep watching then and you should see them!

So how exactly does it work?

The Phantom Zone projector is made up of 3 arrays in orbit above Krypton forming a triangle formation that when activated distorts space into extradimensional subspace.

The Black Zero is a prison barge that Zod and his insurgents are loaded on to and put into cells and the whole ship is sent into the zone that acts like a stasis.

Essentially, the Phantom Zone is subspace and it is (was is more accurate as Kryptonians stopped travelling the galaxy a long time ago) used as much for interstellar travel as for imprisonment. Kal-El's rocket is powered by a "Phantom Drive". In orbit above Krypton, there are three satellites that form the Projector and link together to open the wormhole/vortex or whatever you want to call it. The Black Zero is a very old ship (dating back thousands of years) that is dragged out of mothballs for Zod's sentencing and it seems is used to send Zod and company into the Zone. I assume it has no Phantom Drie of its own, since it only escapes the Zone when Krypton's destruction opens a hole or something. Given this stuff, I also have some interesting speculation about the third act if you are interested.

Color me intrigued about your speculation.

Yeah I played with one a little later; still a bit of a chore (mostly because I'm picky) but knocked it out in half the time.

Very, very cool. That sounds like a great visual and a bit of a nod to the scene from STM.

And yes DK, always love some good speculation. :woot:
