"The studio just showed me the completed cut. I literally asked to watch it twice in a row. I’m so excited. I just want to show it to the world.” - Henry Cavill

the Suit in the background looks like its made of steel !!!

And we just want to see it, Henry!! :woot:

If the movie and Henry's performance is as good as it looks, I just might have reevaluate Reeve's performances. Henry comes across as much more subtle. However, I will say that Reeve elevated his movies. If Henry was given the same scripts as the old movies, I'm not sure he would have worked as well.

Can there be two perfect Supermen?
Because I might have to choose that route. :)
Definitely. ;)

I like that idea a lot .
Two perfect Supermen for two different points in time .

I recently watched it again, that final scene still hits me hard, too. The music that kicks is perfect.

Thank you! Finally someone who understands me.

As for the potential level of emotion in MOS, how many shots have we seen of Superman screaming in despair from the trailers alone? How much pain and heartache can there be in one movie?

“This character matters so much to so many people. I want to get that right. I want to do it justice. I want people to believe in the character and have faith in the character and kids to grow up wanting to be Superman.”

Oh that embracing and kissing ... cover the children's eyes. :cwink:

Yes, his Superman voice is thankfully on point!!

I just watched that spot and he really does sound like Daly. Its so on point it gives you chills. So powerful while being calm and confident at the same time.

I love Tim Daily's Superman voiceover(I really liked Newbern's as well to be honest) so I think that's a great compliment. Cavill really does sound good so far.
Agree with every word you guys (gals).

Footage from the Battle of Smallville? Yes please! Go shopping people! :woot:

Anyway, I'm sure the next batch of TV spots will have that footage anyway. They keep raising the bar with these spots so I bet the final ones will be brutal.

On Sunday night my brother texted me and told me that Superman was at his bar (He's a bartender in Santa Monica, CA) I figured he was just BSing me on my birthday, he then sent me this...

I hate my brother right now.

Based on what I've heard so far, I actually prefer Cavill's Superman voice over Daly's. Daly was never the definitive Superman voice for me.

So.. yeah.. this makes me happy. One of the things about Nolan's Batman films that really made me cringe was Bale's voice in costume. Thankfully, we don't have to worry about any over-the-top vocal performances in this film.

I thought Daly did the best job at making one believe that Clark was the man inside, while Newburn had that sense of authority and assertiveness as a leader. Cavill seems to have both :wow:

According to that Details article, IHOP and Sears are getting totaled during the battle of Smallville sequence.

I don't hear that much particularly Daly myself. But I do like what I hear.

The people of Earth adopt him and he adopts us, as well.
“Someone said to me it’s the greatest adoption story in all of history. I think that’s an interesting way of looking at it – maybe because I was just in the process personally of adopting my two children.”
“The people of Earth adopt him and he adopts us, as well. A lot of the messaging in this film is about family, and who makes you who you are. Clark is on this journey of self discovery, trying to figure out who he is and where he fits in.”
“In the end he comes to see what Jor-El, his Kryptonian father, has sacrificed and given for him. And he also realizes how his Earth parents made him who he is. All those themes and notions follow him throughout the whole film.” Zack Snyder on Man of Steel’s theme; SFX interview [x]
