I love Bale, and I loved Nolan's Batman films. But that boat has sailed. It's done, dusted.
Bringing his Batman into the start of a new Superman franchise and a new shared universe is not really going to work, compromises are going to have to be made and that's what we should really be trying to avoid. Not to mention the fact that Bale is touching 40 and has already played the character in 3 big films - is he really going to commit to more Batman films, a Justice League film, and anything else they choose to put the character in? I don't get the sense that he's absolutely in love with playing Batman (like Jackman is with Wolverine, for example) enough to do it for another decade. And that's before you even get into the technicalities and plot holes of why Batman would disappear for 8 yrs, come back, retire and then come back yet again to team up with Superman. It would be a kick in the teeth to the whole arc and conclusion of the character's path throughout Nolan's trilogy.
Better that they go with a new version of Batman specifically written for this world which Snyder has crafted in MOS, and a new actor to play him. Bale did a great job but we really need to let go now and move on.
It would appear that Snyder has crafted his world in which it could fit within the established world of Nolan's TDKT. How has that boat sailed, time to move on? It's been less than a one year since TDKR has opened, you do realize. Boat has not sailed, boat is being rigged with explosives!
Obviously if Snyder wants to bring Bale in, the story isn't finished. Christian Bale even said he would return, so if the lead actor isn't convinced TDKR is the end to his character than why should we all? I make these points in the JL board sorry to bleed it over.
I don't think anyone at WB/DC wants to get rid of Bale any time soon. Nolan did a good job at convincing us though. Snyder is the guy who said he wants to film The Dark Knight Returns in 20 years with Bale. And now he's given the keys to the JL/DC universe and you guys think he wouldn't use him? Goyer as well, the guy who spent years writing this character's journey...who said he can't picture anyone but Bale right now. It would seem Bale is our Batman for this generation and well he should be. There is no need to reboot anything when we have Wonder Woman, Flash, and the whole gang to focus time/money on.

Will see if I can somehow snatch them from hitfix or not.
