Small nitpic. But does it seem like it's sunny blue skys at the start there, and then as the camera pans around you can even tell where the different daytime changes (and if you pause it quickly during that pan, Faora and Nam-Ek(?) aren't even on the street). Then back to Superman and it's now overcast (his suit alot darker too). I guess they filmed this a few times and it's just the different takes at different times of the day being cut together. Still it looks awesome.
I didnt notice it.

That featurette was so impressive...and too bad I'm at work right now because I didn't get to hear anything. lol

Set visits are released today? Thought I read that here somewhere.

Cavill is going to appear on Live with Kelly and Michael on June 10th.

Headline typo? The article mentions "Scott" Snyder, not Zack.

Edit: I guess both Snyders are mentioned. I stand corrected. :hehe:

Hmm, interesting. It does explicitly say Zack is producing the short and immediately describes him as the director of Man of Steel.

Is there another source that claims Scott?

EDIT: You edited while I was responding :argh: :hehe:

I wonder if this is very near the begining of when he puts on the suit. So him being timid might be a combination of being unfamiliar with his enemy (in this context), his first time "fighting", and or being concerned with Smallville.

It's funny, as we get closer to the release, I can't help but to feel bittersweet about the whole thing.

I've been living with the anticipation for so long that I think I'm going to genuinely miss it. I love seeing the tv spots, news reports, billboards and subway ads (which I do my best to stand next to while waiting for the train...) and it's going to be sad when it's all over.

Here's to another three years... hopefully.

Hello all,

Only one thing worries me about the movie and that's how Pa Kent will be portrayed. You've all probably discussed "maybe" to death, and given that he dies helping save people it's made moot. But I still wonder how far they are going to go with his position on hiding powers.

(This seems legitimate: http://www.reddit.com/r/superman/comments/17s77u/i_was_an_extra_in_man_of_steel/)

Welcome to the Hype, Gavan. You really shouldn't trust sources like that. As one of the responders to the original post mentioned, everything in the report seems like an extrapolation of stuff that was already seen in trailers and set photos. More importantly, the original poster would be under an Non-Disclosure Agreement about the scene and could get into serious legal trouble for saying what he did. Finally, I think this report has been debunked by additional footage and photos that have been released since it was posted. in particular, it has been confirmed that Clark wears a Kansas university t-shirt in that scene rather than flannel. He has been seen wearing flannel in other set photos and such. It seems like someone making up a false report based on piecing together information from released footage and set photos.

my thoughts on that Reddit post
They obviously shoot multiple versions of important scenes...and the whole taking off piece, if true, is likely a super jump..since it seems clear via the trailers his first "flight" is in the arctic. but I don't see Clark doing much about an EF5 Tornado other then saving some people.

Well he puts on the suit in the arctic according to the trailers we have seen...but yea this is likely his first time in public wearing it. He just doesn't quite know what to expect, and he is really worried for the people, how they feel about him, and everything.

I love that Snyder and Co are really wanting to make his audience FEEL what he is feeling, because even in that short clip..I feel his nervousness, his anticipation, his self-amping up as if he is about to get in a boxing ring.

F'ing LOVE IT!

The great thing about this is that Zack Snyder and Henry Cavill aren't saying goodbye to the franchise yet. This isn't like TDKR where the end of a trilogy has arrived. Snyder and Cavill will likely be around for years in the coming sequels and expanded DC universe.

The Superman fan in me has been glowing with how quality MOS is shaping up to be. It's been quite the ride, huh?

I love this shot.

Looks like he's really not confident at all.

It's difficult to gauge what he's thinking there. To me it's a "I don't really want to have to do this, but here goes...." kinda look.

New featurette is pretty awesome!! Loving the battle for Smallville more and more, The look on Superman's face is awesome, like he has never done this before and he looks fearful for the people of his hometown!

Of course my friend! Superman is not going to retire with Lois to live the good life in Florence or wherever. ;)

Zack Snyder, Bruce Timm, Geoff Johns working together... that's a dream team! The animated short should be spectacular!!

The only thing that worries me is the wal mart presale not doin well, but it'l wasn't really marketed all that well in my opinion.
