what's a Bechdel test??

It shows how well women are portrayed in a film based on three questions.

1. It has to have at least two [named] women in it
2.
Who talk to each other
3. About something besides a man

Haha, brilliant. And well done meeting Singer. :awesome:
I have a picture too!
My wife took it just as he gave me the hug, it's not great.

It feels very refreshing that we'll get to see the character between his teen version and the adult one we've always known from the Christopher Reeve's portrayal.
That's one of the things it always bugged me about the movies, that we never really get the chance to explore him, or to see how he really is when he's alone, and not being awkward with other people. That's one of the things I'm most looking forward to this time.

Early reviews giving their opinions on films hoping you care. Same old same old.
Take any one of these reviews and have it come out 2 weeks after release, if you still care about their opinion, then maybe they are critics worth followin.

All that talk of female roles seems like someone walked into the film with an agenda and bone to pick with the industry. May favorite type reviewer...

So if Lois and Martha talk about the weather during the movie, it passes the test? Good lord.

dudes vine is cool. Maybe the NDA will be released soon. sounds like it

Haha at the CBM comments that someone said the film was "abysmal"

This comment is funny considering the atrocious sonar/ferry boats sequence in TDK. That movie has been put on way too much of a pedestal.

I think people (including myself) could forgive that seen because of the overall darkness of the film as a whole. So something exaggerated (like many elements in the film) bring about a SUBTLE sense of fantasy to the flick.

I still find the set piece of the ship and Joker climax more satisfying than TDKR and Begins's final action sequences, even though the action is best in TDKR.

But yes, Nolan uses wide shots in ways that an over-the-shoulder camera angle would work better at (TDK), and uses close-ups (TDKR) in a way that compromises the EXPENSIVE scale, and that's when you can see clearly.

Thank goodness for Snyder this time around. When this film becomes action-oriented (which is kind of inevitable), he's gonna OWN this movie.
He's gonna use his talent for replicating the overall comic styling and MILKING the budget and scale to bring us the biggest superhero movie yet. Every little shot feels like its full of detail and life. Dare I say it, he's a genius as far as shot composition goes, knowing what to zoom in on, and what to pull away from.

That ship is sorta reminiscent of this (spoiler tags cause gore):

The Kal-El ship reminded me of the monster in Star Trek '09. The way the mouth of the ship appears to open up.
Looks very plant-like.

Amy Adams said although her daughter grabbed Superman's butt. But she does prefer the muppets over Superman.

I don't know if he's a genius, but he knows how to shoot action sequences. No doubt about that.

i hope someone puts that press conference on youtube

Yep. And the movie could otherwise be extremely negative towards women otherwise, but as long as it has one scene with no men or discussion of men, it passes.
