I remember thinking TDK looked like an exceptional comic book movie. But MOS looks like a dream come true for fans.

I think TDK will STILL have the best superhero villain, because the Joker is arguably the best villain in comics. But MOS looks like it could be a more well-rounded story (don't gang up on me guys), focusing on Clark, his upbringing, his past, his world, and and the world beyond. And the suit is DC's BEST suit, bar none.

I agree I remember just being in awe of Ledger so not sure if Shannon can top him but he'll come close IMO.

"Zack Snyder: Just because kryptonite or Lex Luther is not in the film. Do they exist in this world? That's another question"

Oh Zack, you tease :oldrazz:

^ I just think of an "angry" Conan regarding this, lol. If we never see it, I'm fine. Though seeing him using heat vision on a mirror would be SO much fun.

I still find it funny how fanboys took him so seriously and thought it meant MOS was going to suck :funny:

Did we know there was a press conference today?
I honestly had no idea :wow:

Welcome to the Hype.

Which Oscars was it again, when Bale was just flat out hilarious like this? There were several moments when he does stuff like that during that particular show.

Another killer line from Mr. Snyder:
"This is an unapologetic version of superman. Ppl have been apologizing for him but no. This is the way he is."

BOOM! :applaud

That was from the 2011 Golden Globes... Everything he did there pretty much became a GIF. :lmao:

As much as I agree with snyder, that specific statement kinda goes against all this talk of Superman needing to "change" and or be presented in a way no one has seen before.

right?

He was exactly right... 'no one has seen before'... meaning an 'unapologetic superman'...

It shows how well women are portrayed in a film based on three questions.

1. It has to have at least two [named] women in it
2.
Who talk to each other
3. About something besides a man

She is using the Bechdel Test incorrectly and you are describing it wrong. It is not meant to measure the treatment of women in any one film.
The problem is the the vast majority of Hollywood movies fail the test. It's an unfortunate and strange tendency.

:lmao:

It's a SOUPER-beard! :D

It's gonna be like Chuck Norris' beard, a fist within his beard! :funny:

Conan was hilarious, shame to see that people are that dense to not get his sense of humor (even poked at the hardcore fanboys with his "it ruined CBM for me! I WILL NEVER SEE ANY AGAIN IN MY LIFETIME").

yea I figured that's what was meant.
However would one argue that the early donner verse was "apologetic"

My favorite one is the "ironic thing is that it's not ironic."

Because Superman is all about honesty and trust. He MIGHT seem simplistic, but that is because he's trying to demonstrate the proper road that humans should take. The complicated aspect of Superman is how Clark balances his life and the internal conflict of ideals vs reality. But yes, :supes:

He described it exactly right. I think that is almost how it was phrased in the original webcomic. And, in that comic, it was used by the character to judge individual movies (or rather, as a possible excuse to not see movies).
