Meh, I think it looked natural on Reeve too. I'm not sure if it was a wig or his real hair but either way, it worked there. The only place where it looked silly was on Routh because the rest of his hair was perfectly straight and then right in the middle, you had this little lightning bolt of hair sticking out.

Routh's curl looked ironed out and rather forced.

Routh had the body of a 16 year old gym class hero.

^ That's mean. I didn't mind his physique, though his shoulders and arms could have been better.

Eh, I won't be too hard on Routh in that regard. I think he was pretty big at the time of filming, you just couldn't tell because of that awful suit.

I think Routh is appearing at some comic book convention this weekend along with Dean Cain.

How is it mean? He had no definition, and the suit made it even worse than it already was. Tell me otherwise.

I’d say Reeve’s perfect part and curl were just as implausible as Routh’s. The problem with SR (ironically) is that it went half-way towards “realism” by showing Supes’ hair as wind-swept during flight - leading to the question of how it bounced back into a flawless “do” when he landed. This wasn’t as conspicuous in STM because Reeve always had “helmet hair.” :word:

Haha, that's true. Still, I think the style looked better.

Cashing in because there's a new Superman movie out then.

Just remember that 35 years from now when it is Cavill going to a Con .
it is perfectly fine for any past Present or Future Superman to go to a Con and get paid for it .

Yeah, guy's gotta eat. Plus he was also in Scott Pilgrim, and that has its fans. And I suppose there must be someone out there who liked Dylan Dog... maybe...

I like him, it just sucks he gets the flack he gets for SR, when his casting wasn't an issue (to me).

I understand why Cain would go but Routh? Isn't he still acting in decent movies?

If you're going to say that about Routh you have to say it about Reeve too. He was good and big but didn't have the definition of Cavill either. Certainly neither of them were like "16 year old" boys that's just a silly exaggeration.

Exactly. There's nothing wrong with that. It'd be cool if all of them were at a Con together at the same time.

Eh, he looked the part well enough (even with the bad costume and hair design) but his acting left a lot to be desired. Whether that was due to his lack of ability or a script that minimized its main character, I'm not sure but either way... I was glad to see someone new step into the role.

Maybe it wasnt all about Money.
Maybe he likes spending time with the fans.

I don't like Superman Returns but Routh seems like a nice guy. It sounds like he's spent the last month doing autograph sessions.

So I just finally read the prequel comic, normally these things are a pile of crap but this one was fantastic. I'm dying to know what it all means.

- is this actually canon?
- is Kara still alive inside the fortress?
- is Dev-Em the one who walked away? And if so will be already be on Earth whilst Kal El is?

If there is an after credits scene , it is probably tied to that Prequel comic.

Kara is long dead.

You don't see her die she could've snuck into one of those pods or be the one that walked away. Also her powers were kicking in so I'm sure a Kryptonian could survive that.
