Are they playing it in IMAX aspect ratio? I once saw a movie in those traditional IMAX but they just played the regular 35mm movie (unconverted to the imax aspect ratio) on their giant screen.. didn't do much good actually..

Was Star Trek 2 shot in Imax Cameras??? It didn't look like it to me... I mean, the quality didn't look at all like it was shot in 70mm film...
Depends on the movie. But it is a good point. Might need to check from others before I make the investment.

Ugh. I saw that. Liked the movie a lot. Did not see any advantage to them doing any IMAX. They didn't have any non-3D IMAX showings did they?

I don't know. The theater I saw it in was a LieMAX anyway with digital projection. Once you take 18k IMAX footage and downconvert it to 2k, you've pretty much killed the entire purpose of it in the first place. Then when you post-convert it to 3D, it further dilutes the quality of the IMAX footage. In any event...besides getting a headache from the 3D glasses, I did enjoy the movie very much.

He looks exactly like Patrick Stewart!

The cod piece looks ridiculous in some shots. That area of the suit just doesn't always look great in stills.

On another note, the Kryptonian armor is beautiful.

When I think back on Returns, I reluctantly imagine Luthor having to "pleasure" that rich old lady from the beginning. She mentioned something about him showing her "pleasures".

It's not a fun thing to do.

You are one sick puppy, man.

Singer had a clone made in case the real Patrick Stewart acts up too much on set during the filming of the new X-Men sequel.

I heard from 4 different people that MOS was abysmal.

Their names were Spider-Man, Wolverine, Thor, and............Batman. :batman:
TRAITOR!!!!!!!!!!!! :argh:

Eh, the fear was that Nolan and Goyer would turn Superman into Batman. That fear, in my honest opinion, was unfounded and absurd.
Of course they simply wanted the same approach as Batman, how would the real world react to someone like Superman. Then he would start spray painting his costume black and wear a bat mask and shout at criminals with a growly voice. Then enters Lois Lane wearing a catsuit with goggle cat ears and stilletto heels. :p

You forgot fanboys who wanted Brainiac as the villain!!
I'm of this sub-group and I will not enjoy this movie unless it is so! :argh:

:o

I think Lifetime shafts women too, for making them people I don't want to know. :funny:
True. In accordance to Lifetime, all women are baby-snatchers, abuse victims, adulterers or worse single female businesswomen who's problems are solved by a man's penis. :o

Gladiator reunion would have been good.
Maybe that was the driving force behind Crowe getting Jor-El. :wow:

And people had problems with Superman's bulge. :o

There is no IMAX footage, so it'll be in the wider scope aspect ratio with black bars at the top and bottom of the IMAX screen. The main thing I'm wanting is to see it on as big of a screen as possible, but not in 3D. That is very hard to do since a lot of theaters will not provide a 2D option on their biggest screens if it's a 3D movie. But luckily WB is telling the theaters to at least offer some 2D IMAX showtimes for Man of Steel. :yay:

So early reports from World War Z is that it is actually a good movie come on people say things about MoS!!!!!

Do you guys think we might get out first clip on Tuesday because Amy will be on the Ellen show along with Jimmy Kimmel Live. I mean it seems like a reasonable time to release the first clip.
