If she only gave it a 70 then that's what she gave it. Maybe MOS isn't her cup of tea? I have watched The Great Gatsby. I prefer Robert Redford's version. Not saying Leo isn't the man, but that's just my opinion. And personally that was one of the only pieces of literature that I was forced to read in high school that I actually enjoyed.

Well, that dropped the overall rating to 90/100 ... which essentially means at minimum it's got 3 reviews on there, 2 100's and a 70 ... or way more than 3 to get to that # from 100.

Oh I'm sure they were I was just speaking to the fact that I enjoyed the new version of Gatsby. I can see why she gave it 4 stars, even though to me it wasn't a 4 star flick, but I prefer Redford over Leo.

Actually, even after i just posted something similar, I'm not even sure. I should just focus on RT or Metacritic. Lot easier to decipher.

So I was looking back at the SR rate and review thread and things got harsh. I saw some nasty comments about the reviewers who panned it.

Maybe ya'll should see the movie yourself before damning the opinion of someone who actually has (and is entitled to their views)? As opposed to already deciding how amazing it is. Remember when everyone freaked out at the first negative Watchmen review a month before it opened? All because they commented how it would flop... and then it did.
