Yeah, we've seen this a while back. Though Im 99% sure he said ´´shrieking`` and not ´´shrinking`` as every site reporting this translated it. Either that or I need a hearing aid as on my headphones with full volume up that's what I hear.
And I think he made it up anyway. Shannon's a funny guy.

Yeah he just has a really weird sense of humour that doesn't come across as well on paper, but when you watch him actually say it, it's clearly a joke...

yeah, I'm curious as to his manner of speech. He has a slight impediment making his vocal patterns a little odd for the way I would envision Zod but who knows... maybe he'll do a "Batman" like acting thing to cover it. I watch Boardwalk Empire and try to picture Zod but that doesn't work for me.

I'm sure it will work fine in MOS... at least I'm hoping.

...I don't know, I wouldn't be surprised if that line is in the movie. Actors usually aren't very good at improvising a line that quick. I'll bet one Super Dollar on that.

He doesn't have a speech impediment that I know of. He just has a thick New York/Chicago accent.

Well..I did notice it a bit in 'Taking Shelter' but I think it adds to his weirdness.

I feel that he is a very good choice for Zod.

Speaking of lisp, anyone else who is annoyed by Bale's lisp in TDK? I mean, it's quite ridiculous in places, especially towards the middle and end of the movie. I don't mind his growling but Batman with a speech impediment? Please! So even if Zod did have a slight lisp I wouldn't mind, but Batman with quite a noticeable lisp = fail. That said, I don't really hear the lisp in Shannon's voice. He does have quite a distinctive speaking voice but I actually think his voice and line delivery is kind of suitable for a General. People need to remember he's playing an experienced General in MOS and not some generic ´´evil`` villain...or so he says.

I was kind of avoiding them yes but only concerning the ending, though I doubt that would leak so if there's something regarding the voice I'd like to know. Can you tell me or direct me to a some topic or something?

It's mostly in random posts, but yes many Batfans were annoyed by TEH!GROWL! as it's sometimes called.
