No idea about that, but I wouldn't mind, I prefer his normal accent as opposed to his American accent. Doesn't have the same deep, rich quality. But maybe he worked on it a bit more and It will be better in MOS. IMO Cavill's normal accent voice is a great Superman voice. So I wouldn't mind him using it in MOS. However, 98% of everyone else would be

well considering he's found and raised by kansas natives who more than likely have american accents, it may be a little strange to see him with an english accent in MOS.

Could be part of the disguise. His Kryptonian vocal chords can imitate any language or sound, so he'll speak in an English accent as Superman and an American accent as CK. Don't worry though, won't happen.

I'd flip **** if he had a English accent...I love my British friends but Superman was raised in Kansas, not England

Other then a couple people mentioning it, not really. Cavill been asked way to many times concerning his American accent for his roll in MOS, as well as on the Tonight Show Henry had a good conversations about it with Leno.


From all the evidence the only non-American anything we will be hearing is the totally different language while on Krypton, and it won't be Cavill talking.

It would be funny if Superman tests an english accent then someone it sucks. Though I wonder, since there is going to be a Kryptonian language, will there be a Krytonian accent as well?

Probably Old English if there is one. That seems to be have been universally deemed as the official "alien" accent by cinema.

I've been thinking about the colors of Superman's outfit and such.

On Krypton, with a RED sun, the colors would appear different.

Here is an approximation of what Superman would look like on his home planet vs on Earth with our yellow sun.

Things would be a bit darker and "red-er" on Krypton.

Plants would be darker, different colors... at least to our eyes.

Maybe what we will see in the Krypton sequences?

I like it. I like the idea that colours would be darker and not what you expect for the landscape, giving a strange tone to scenes on Krypton.

The Krypton scenes mainly focused on Jor-El and the few brief scenes with other Kryptonians were with the Council and Jor-El's family. They were all dressed in similar formal robes of red or green or yellow. There was also police that wore grey armour uniforms.

I still think and hope that the film will show how Clark learned how to fly for the first time and doesn't leave that lesson off-screen.

I want to see a period where Clark didn't know how to fly, portrayed by Cavill along with seeing on how he eventually learned to grasp that power and his reaction to it. I think it would show good grounds for development.


Also, a part of me thinks that Clark won't necessarily put on the suit until Zod makes his appearance causing havoc in the world, which probably leads to one big disaster that calls for Clark's attention.

HOWEVER, I do think that Clark will be proactive in saving people, albeit in the shadows or as himself but somewhat concealed, before then. So that way, he won't be shown as the "reluctant" hero. Perhaps before Zod's attack, Clark will be shown wondering on what he should do that would be in the best interest for everyone which leads him to realizing that the world needs hope, hence the donning of the suit.

I noticed Summit/Lionsgate has moved Ender's Game from March 15, 2013 to November 1, 2013. The March 15 spot is empty now... hint hint WB.

WB can move it up, and reclaim that prime mid-March spot (especially considering how lucrative Hunger Games, 300 and Alice in Wonderland have been). It'll be two weeks after Elysium, but a week after Oz, the Great & Powerful.

I think July would be a better release date. And Man of Steel won't be moved to March 15, because there'd be no need to have it so close to another WB property in Jack the Giant Killer. The June date is going to be final.
