I remember Snyder mentioning something about 3D and some new way of shooting or something...

Recent interview with Zack:

N: I imagine you envision this bar in three dimensions...?

Z: Will "Superman: Man of Steel" be shot in 3D is a subject soon to be revealed. We are conducting certain experiment, which will determine the technology we'll be using.

N: Now you have to tell me more about this technology experiment! You just have to!

Z: Ok, but remember it's all in a testing phase. If it works, our "Superman" will blew Hollywood away. 3D is not James Cameron's invention, even though I'm sure he thinks otherwise. 3D movies were massively produced back in the 50's. However, visual effects were kinda modest at the time. So I came up with an idea, that Chris has found very interesting. I want to improve this old 3D technique and shoot our movie in 3D, but on a regular film reel. My visit to London interrupted this experiment for a while, but we are close to achieve what Cameron did in "Avatar" but without computers and digital cameras. I want my movie to look natural, to have this organic tape graininess. I don't want every shot to be color-corrected, digital cameras tend to lose focus. If we succeed, it will be the first professional 3D movie shot on regular cameras. And that will be total revolution.

Oh yeah! I had read that, I totally forgot about it.

I wonder if they succeeded then?

I can't imagine we wouldn't.

A friend of mine pointed out something I hadn't really thought about the other day.

He loves X-men and he said he doesn't really get Avengers cause none of them have any actual 'powers' other than strength or weapons.

And I guess he's right. They are all basically just people with enhances strength or awesome weapons.

He said he preferred the sound of the Justice League because there is more of a variation of powers.

Also, their headquarters is in space :)

So whatever happens, the tone CAN'T be as 'real world' as Avengers. It shouldn't even be trying to be. There are more fantastic elements to the JL than The Avengers IMO.

Well actually..

Thor has superhuman strength, durability, speed, reflexes, weather control (even without Mjolnir), and energy manipulation (also without Mjolnir).

Hulk has superhuman strength, durability, speed, the ability to see astral projections, and regeneration.

I dont think I remember reading that myself. Does sound interesting.
"I want my movie to look natural":woot:

Does sound a bit strange that we havent heard more about it. Maybe we will later this year.

Please don't tell me you take that anonymous quote with no actual link seriously?

Why would Zack Snyder be talking about, "Blowing Hollywood Away" and insulting James Cameron for no reason...this after being goaded into revealing a "big" secret concerning 3D after just 1 question....

Don't believe everything you read...

Yeah, it sounds kindof off. Especially that bit where he says "James Cameron didn't invent 3d, 3d was around in the 50s" well freaking duh. You'd have to have born within the past decade to have never heard of 3d movies before this latest trend.

That'll be Supes and Zod in about a year.

Yes, they need to release a MOS pic like that when things really get moving.

Damn that Batman vs Bane photo looks awesome, it reminds me why Bane is one of my favorite Batman villains.

Yea, it actually has a very Snyder'ish feel being VERY comicbooky like straight from a page in a comicbook.

To do something like that live-action would be tricky, but awesome in Snyder-slo-mo.

Not really, I posted it because I thought that was what I Am The Knight was talking about.

This is the anonymous quote I think?

nyder: I have to admit it is a project of my dreams and we have great expectations for it. Moreover, studio's and people's expectations are even higher. What Chris and David did to Batman was quite a revelation, so the bar is set pretty high.

N: Sound promising, but what about story? Do you want "Superman" in an old Richard Donner convention, the comedic Richard Lester version or maybe in this kiddish version, presented by Bryan Singer in "Superman Returns"?

Z: "Superman: Man of Steel" will be a whole new take on that superhero, and it will definitely not resemble Singer's movie, which I find extremely overstylized. My film is gonna be dark and realistic. There even was a moment, when we considered to give up all superpowers. But seriously, it's gonna be a solid, real action movie. Superman will be a real guy, evil will be tangible and Clark Kent will be working in an actual editorial office. These days nobody wants to see stories about plastic superheroes. Besides, why make them when somebody already did a long time ago. Comic book movies have entered a new era: they are unpredictable, epic and often realistic. My "Superman" will fit into these categories.

This is the Polish Newsweek interview that the Snyder interview was apparently from, can someone translate it or check this is a valid interview?

The interviewers name and email is at the bottom right of the page,I tried to get the polish Newsweek article up,but couldn't find it.

It is from a year ago,but if these are really Snyders words, then it becomes interesting about his take on the movie, and the 3D techniques he is on about.

Sorry about posting this if you guys have already seen and discussed this.

There even was a moment, when we considered to give up all superpowers...... ????

So..... Was that a Joke? Is this superman gonna be like way way way way powered down?

There was even a moment in which we considered the complete abandonment of the superpowers.

Like I said.... Is this a Freaking joke??

That was about a year ago. Would we have heard something about it by now if they managed to get their innovative new filming technique to work? Also, is there any chance this will be 480 FPS?

1. So..... Was that a Joke?

2. Is this superman gonna be like way way way way powered down?

1. Yes.

2. Probably. Unfortunately I expect something like a STAS power level. Since idiots always complain that he is too powerful, im sure they will cater to them just like they did to the anti-trunks crowd.

I think Superman's JLU power level would be a nice amount, he seemed far more powerful than STAS while still operating at a resonable power level.

I'd be ok with that. Really hope he isn't as weak as in STAS.

Oh yeah! I had read that, I totally forgot about it.

Wasn't there a set pic in Illinois inside the school, and there was a glimpse of a camera with two monitor screens next to each other? If anything, they're trying this out and see if it works on 35mm.

I dont think he'll be powered down much, because zach has also said he wants this superman to be a physical can... and want him to kick ass. He also said he needs to be awesome and wants him to be awesome!
