Indeed, and at the same time, I think MOS kind of established that Clark is kind of a pro at blending into the background to the point where people don't really pay attention to him as much based on what we saw of him during his travels so that could definitely help with the whole, how no one would recognize Clark being Superman.

Good point, he seems to have the knack for it. Appearing inconspicuous is something he had to pick up early in life. But it'll be a real challenge in the DP cos there are more women there. There's no way in blue hell he isn't getting attention looking the way he does and built the way he is. Both female and (mainly) jealous male attention. No goofy pair of glasses will turn all that off.

Can see Lombard giving Clark a rough ride (erm in the idiomatic sense, if anyone asks ) just because Lombard strikes me as a d-bag and lucks out with the ladies. I don't think 'bumbling' should be part of Clark's reporter persona as that draws more attention. He's already attracting plenty looking like Henry Cavil.

FROM COMIC-CON THE BLACK SUIT!!! AWESOMESAUCE!!!!!

Speaking of Pathos, I think that's another thing that made some not like MOS due to the fact that I think a lot went into the film thinking that we'd get to see "Clark Kent: Mild Mannered Reporter" for the DP and that we'd get some of that classic DP environment stuff with Clark/Lois/Perry, etc, along with having the standard big reveal to the public regarding Superman by him doing something heroic for everyone to see.

Well, yeah. When people go into a film with certain, set expectations, and the film does something different, people get mad.

That's why you can't go into films like book or comic book adaptations without having an open mind. It's never going to be a perfect, 100% retelling of the story. I learned that lesson with Little Women.

I don't think DP Clark needs to be "bumbling."

but, I would like the "mild mannered" aspect of Clark to show through.

Yes. Whenever a change happens, I want to get into the head of the filmmaker who made that change, and understand why his or her interpretation transpired a certain way.

I'm curious as to how the inevitable MOS Honest Trailer turns out.

Pretty sure they'll comment on how the trailer advertised a different film.

Fishburne will be called Morpheus.

Cavill will have his name mispronounced or something to do with his body.

Faora will be described as awesome and/or hot.

^ Yep. I never take HonestTrailers personally. They parody almost every popular film. It's always funnier when they dislike a film than when they actually like it and are grasping for straws for a "put down."

I don't think the films they like are really grasping at straws. Just funny observations or times to throw in a joke for fun.

I do like them better than Cinema Sins since I find many of their jokes to fall flat.

I like CinemaSins, but their videos are too long. Pretty much every little quirk they don't agree with is a flaw ;)

Hey guys, was it ever revealed what that "new power" was in MOS, because they said Superman (or Kryptonians in general) were suppose to have an extra power from the film?

I think absorbing the Earth's atmosphere counts.

I'm pretty meh when it comes to their stuff. The only thing I can remember from one of their videos was pointing out that Peter used Bing in TASM.

Oh really? Because when I saw the Superman/Zod fight, I noticed that when his armor is off, his gauntlet does not land on the ground, but floats. I was wondering if Kryptonians had telekinesis in this universe, which would be a nod of sorts toward Kon-El/Superboy.

I don't bother with that any more. The films that are based off written canon are usually interpretations of the plot and characters, and are not meant to be a literal retelling of the story.

It's like a popular song that is redone half a dozen times; every artist is going to add their own personal stamp to that particular piece.

Maybe a bit geeky too. He should give off the vibe of being more of an intellectual, not the type to get physical.

I pretty much hate those kind of videos. Picking out every little idiosyncrasy is not real film criticism. There's nothing constructive about it. I understand that it's done principally for comedy but it helps to create an atmosphere where every movie is unfairly eaten alive and leaves no room for discord.

Henry's voice is way too high in the flashback scene +1 (On the sin tally)

:P

If DP Clark isn't bumbling, we might get another RT score in the 50% range.
