So does that mean we're getting Batman and Superman movies after 2020...?

Affleck would be around 48 or 49 when they'd start filming and Cavill around 36 or 37. Depending if they shoot in 2020 or 2021.

That's an awful long time to wait for a solo film. I hope it doesn't take that long...

I wonder if they'll end JL1 with a huge cliffhanger?

I just knew Batman was gonna be JL exclusive after BvS. But still, I'm excited to see other heroes get a chance!

By the way, this bit of news of when JL is being released confirms what everyone suspected; they're shooting Batman v Superman and Justice League almost back to back.

It was said there would be solo films for both but no more details were announced. Other things announced at the meeting were; that Warner Bros spends two billion dollars marketing their movies each year. Tsujihara also announced that if Warner Bros can close the gap with Marvel on consumer product sales by 50%, it will generate $150M in profits.

If they are calling the films Part 1 and Part 2, then I guess so.

No.

Godfather Part I didnt end with a huge cliffhanger, did it? Did Star Wars Episode 1 or Episode IV?

Just in announcing their DC slate, WB has made giant strides. In some respects they're ahead of Marvel -- POCs headlining Aquaman, The Flash (also LGBT) and Cyborg and Wonder Woman getting her debut film before JL.

I think the next installment of AMC Movie News will be very interesting. John Campea is still going to search for something to point out "WB/DC still has no plan", even though they now have names and talent to go along with the dates.

Well the first Godfather film is called THE GODFATHER not THE GODFATHER PART I. It specifically states that it's called JL Part I. That's different.

2 Billion sounds like a lot, but then you realize that WB releases 30 movies a year through WB, New Line, Village Roadshow etc. The average marketing cost works out to around 70 Million per movie distributed between the tentpoles and the smaller movies.

Considering the movies in between, I'd guess 'Part 1' and 'Part 2' are just instead of just calling it JL1 and JL2

This is exciting stuff the only "bad" news here is that Shazam is going to be a while, I also am not seeing how you make a Cyborg movie but maybe after JL I'll change my mind.

Does Cyborg have any villains of his own?

Guys, Snyder is going to be directing Batman v Superman, Justice League Part One and Justice League Part Two in a matter of 5 years.

Insane...

Indeed. It doesn't make sense that they're not making another Superman or Batman film...

It could be because of the fans and how we repeatedly criticize them and hence they put a halt to them? Then wait a go guys. Wait a go...
