Indeed. It doesn't make sense that they're not making another Superman or Batman film...

It could be because of the fans and how we repeatedly criticize them and hence they put a halt to them? Then wait a go guys. Wait a go...

They said that solo Superman and Batman movies are also on their schedule.

So does that mean we're getting Batman and Superman movies after 2020...?

Affleck would be around 48 or 49 when they'd start filming and Cavill around 36 or 37. Depending if they shoot in 2020 or 2021.

That's an awful long time to wait for a solo film. I hope it doesn't take that long...

No, it doesn't mean that.

Buried in the press release was a comment that stand alone Batman and Superman movies are on the schedule to, just weren't part of the slide.

They didn't say when, but I seriously doubt it's after 2020 for either of them.

Am I waiting or going?

Disappointed no Batfleck solo movie announced. I need that.

If they are calling the films Part 1 and Part 2, then I guess so.

Part 1- Braniac

Part 2- Darkseid on Apokolips?

Maybe The Joker will be snuck into the second part instead of another alien threat? Who knows.

How the **** are they gonna make a Cyborg movie? What will he fights a porn virus that someone uploaded in his system? I mean we Martian Manhunter you could do some detective stuff.

It's a prequel following his sports career :o

anyone else have confirmation on this?

Yup, I posted this when the news came out as I was following it live on WSJ

Solo Batman and Superman movies are apparently in the works, but they don't have dates announced mainly because WB feels they can slot those movies anytime they want. It doesn't necessarily mean that neither will happen prior to 2020.

Other news announced at the meeting; Tsujihara said Warner Bros had a tough summer and that "Domestic box office was down substantially, not just for Warner Bros but across the industry." Tsujihara also announced the company's forthcoming DC/superheroes film slate -- which includes several new films based on popular DC Comics characters -- would help Warner Bros. generate "high single-digit growth in adjusted operating income.

What is going to be interesting to see is how audiences react to so many superhero movies not just by Warner Bros but other studios.

So...In the next 5 years i get to watch batman v superman, wonderwoman 2 justice league movies, flash aquaman and shazam? I cant. I dont deserve this. I must be dreaming.

Just in announcing their DC slate, WB has made giant strides. In some respects they're ahead of Marvel -- POCs headlining Aquaman, The Flash (also LGBT) and Cyborg and Wonder Woman getting her debut film before JL.

I think the next installment of AMC Movie News will be very interesting. John Campea is still going to search for something to point out "WB/DC still has no plan", even though they now have names and talent to go along with the dates.

You know John is actually pretty supportive of the DCCU, right? He enjoyed MoS which was their launch pad and is looking forward to BvS.

Batman solo would have to be 2018 or 2021. Later than Justice League two wouldn't make much sense considering Afflecks age.

I think the fact that we're only getting a Green Lantern movie after Justice League 2 and a Flash movie after Justice League 1, tells me that they may not be in the first JL at all.

WB better have gotten Chadwick as John Stewart. Don't wanna hear anything for Ror2012 (love ya man) about how Hal's a better pick when we are getting a Cyborg movie who has even less solo history then John Stewart.

No Green Lantern in the JL movie would bum me out, but I feared the same thing when I saw the schedule.

Ben isn't a sixty year old man. Geez...

I disagree, we'll get cameos from them in DoJ, everyone meets up in JL, then the solo stories begin.

And the toys. OMG the Movie Masters and the Hot Toys...

Well damn WB... just get it out of you, why don't ya?

How you holding up, Levitikuz? :o

Yep. We've reached the moment. Will the bubble burst?!
