This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]481571[/split]
I would LOVE to see that picture in color .
exactly.
remember, he let himself get arrested and taken into custody by the military.
he complied with the rules/system. mainly to put the military's mind at ease and show he's not a threat.
but then he also destroyed that military drone because he didn't like they were trying to snoop on him.
and because he's kinda hot......y'know.![]()
Going through the last couple of pages, I can't help but feel slightly bemused by those getting all worked up over Superman being described as a "rule follower." You'll note they said "rule follower," not "follower."
When has that not been applicable to Superman, who has consistently been portrayed as a champion of law and order, as dictated by societal norms?
And it seems people are so quick to forget his conversation with the general, where he specifically states that he is here to help, but "on his terms."
He has "government lackey" written all over him, clearly.
Well, thanks for that. Some people might think it pitiful for someone my age to be into such a thing. I'm as geeky as it gets, I have a ton of Batman (et al)action figures, games, coffee cups and other memorabilia scattered all over my apartment. I'm enjoying myself, that's all that matters.
Does this count as news?

Has anyone seen the set picture of the "S" painted on a roof top? I find that kinda interesting, considering all the talk the defacing of the statue brought on.
I get a natural disaster vibe. Think of Hurricane Katrina or Sandy. Rescue operations take time and the people waiting in dire straights can lose hope on the edge of possible death...
"For that is what this symbol means... The symbol of the House of El, means HOPE..."
Hmmm....

@John Locke:
That's what I meant. Think about it... It's a flood or a landslide situation, some natural disaster. You're stuck on the roof. Water and food is running low. You've been there for a couple of days. Grandma's meds have run out. You're desperate. Time for a hail Mary pass. "Maybe... Maybe if I put the S on the roof... Maybe he'll see it? I have no HOPE for anything else right now..."
That's would be an interesting counter point to the supposed Anti Supes sentiment we think is being expressed with the statue vandalism. Thematically it seems sound to me.
That, or it could be a way to mock Superman. Maybe someone died there, and the homes where he couldn't save people have that symbol painted on them, so when he flies overhead, he sees where he's 'failed'.
Since Superman can't save everybody, even with all his powers, it would make sense for Luthor to use any tragedy to his advantage to turn people against Superman.
I don't think that would make sense. It would almost be like if a Nazi killed your dad or something so you decided to paint a swastika on your roof to mock them.
Or maybe a better example would be if your house burnt down and someone died you wouldn't mock fire fighters who couldn't save them. No one would do that because it doesn't make sense.

Probably. I'm just tossing ideas out there. Sometimes writers get weird, and do things that don't make sense. Like having Bruce Wayne living in a cottage. Or Superman having a love child with Lois Lane. Or Wonder Woman.
God, The Dark Knight Strikes Again has to be some of the worst **** I've ever read without ever actually reading it. It's THAT appalling.
That s on the roof in that pic is intriguing. I hope it was made by folks wanting supes to rescue them.
Uh oh, he has awoken.
Putting zryson on Ignore was one of the best decisions I have ever made on these boards.
The peace. The beautiful, quiet peace.
