When it comes to actual dates, like many people I have talked with I dont place a lot of faith in them - just look at ASM3 or even BvS.

cool story i guess? so WB shouldn't have dates planned because 2 movies once moved?

Movies get canned with directors, actors, writers all the time. What do you want WB to do about it?

You basically just said WB shouldn't announce anything because things are subject to change, so what do you want them to do?

Who are these people you talk to who always seem to think Superman will be sidelined, or WB won't meet the dates, or that everything WB is doing is wrong. I mean, in real life, do you go around asking people "So, what did you think of the DC movie schedule?" or something like that.

I like how you always have this nebulous "People I talk to" to fall back on in any issue to support your stance.
The voices in his head count as people.

DC will announce when they are ready. There is no need to now.

I think some, not all of course, people would probably feel a bit better if Warner Bros and DC would hire/select someone as the person that would oversee the production and grand design of the DCU in the way that Feige does with the MCU.

Definitely.
And I agree with I SEE SPIDEY: right now, they should just focus on BvS (and Justice League).

New Line is WB

Shazam movie will be a WB/New line film somewhat similar to how Dark Knight triliogy were WB/Legendary

This has been known for a while so how are finding out about this now? And New Line is making it, not WB. New Line technically has the rights.

Guys, guys, you got it wrong. New Line is a subsidiary of Warner Brothers, a label akin to what Summit Entertainment is now. Just because WB is releasing it under the New Line label doesn't mean it can't be part of the DCU. All the New Line-branded films made after 2009 say "Copyright Warner Brothers", so there you go.

The reason why WB released The Hobbit trilogy under the New Line label is 1) The original deal was made after The Golden Compass underperformed but before NL was absorbed into its parent company, and 2) Brand association.

Heck, Warner Brothers shifted its It project to New Line because of the horror association with the name. Plus they could release any of the DCU films under the New Line Cinema label if they wanted to.

Marvel has Antman, A of U, cap 3, guardians 2, and dr strange in plans to come out within the next 2-3 years. That ain't bad.

Just wanting dc to try and keep up cuz I love their characters more.

Exactly what I said. Which movies do Marvel have post-2015 announced compared to what DC have announced post-2015. You will find both are the same number of movies with the same level of detailed announcements.

Just because Marvel have 2015 movies causes their announcements to be more. But post 2016 Marvel have Cap 3, Strange and GOTG2, of which we know little for each of them. DC have BvS, Shazam, Suicide Squad, of which we know considerably more about BvS and about as much about Shazam as we know about Strange.

So the amount of announcements is roughly the same post-2015.

Who are these other fans I talk with about DC/WB product? They are DC fans mostly. There are plenty of doubters among DC fans. I also dont believe everything DC/WB is doing is wrong. I like some things and I dont like other stuff.

What I think of Iron Man v Captain America compared to Batman v Superman

I am one of these folks. I just would like to see that someone at WB wants to continue what they did with MoS because it's so exciting to see what snyder is doing.

That was what I was saying...... WB's owns New Line. It doesn't somehow mean WB doesn't have the rights to Shazam because New Line does

But of course you do think everything DC is doing is wrong. Let's not try to deny it any more, every comment you have ever made has been about how DC is doing it wrong. You may not ever say it completely, but you manage to get cheap shots in at the end of every comment about DC movies.

And best of all, you twist facts to suit your interpretation, you make rumors sound like they are fact and you will dig into random trivia just to prove that BvS is a goner and DC will be dead. Now when you do that and someone points out that the fact was wrong, you ignore that comment and move on to make that same point a different time until someone points it out again.

Geoff Johns has had a hand in this influx of recent live action DC Comics television series and will be an executive producer on BVS. Just trying to put 2 and 2 together...

Actually no I didnt say they shouldnt announce anything. My actual words were: When it comes to actual dates, like many people I have talked with I dont place a lot of faith in them. Release dates are subject to change, that's widely known in entertainment circles. So that's what I was talking about, and why I dont put a lot of stock in release dates.

Good point. Maybe I'm just looking for the big name stand alone movies like Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Martian manhunter, etc. shazam and suicide squad are wonderful news- but I feel that so far DC is lagging. I do understand marvel has already established their universe and dc is just getting started- but the excitement of cap vs iron man got me a bit down momentarily because I am ready to see WB announce a kick ass lineup for their universe. BVS just needs to hurry up and get here. Ha!

DC is 9 movies behind Marvel, even thinking about catching up is ridiculous. Marvel could have a movie about sock puppets and it would make money right now. DC should just try to make the best products they can. WB owns all DC so that could be a huge advantage in the future to build up their own cinematic universe. They have to diversify their talent pool a little bit for the future and bring other writers and directors , Affleck probably will do a stand alone Batman but you dont want to burn all your talent. BvS will be the test to what DC has in store for the future and if they can make bank beyond the trinity

Firstly I dont say everything DC/WB is doing is wrong because I dont believe it, as you pointed out. There are many things I do like, and when I do, I say so. As for the rest of your post, youre entitled to think what you like about me.

So what do you put stock into? Everything is subject to change. You were attempting to argue WB has given us nothing because dates are subject to change. That would mean Marvel is in the same boat cuz everything is subject to change.

The best part of tv series...you get 22 hours of entertainment per season!

22 Flash episodes >>>>>>> One Flash movie :)

Great post.

I've never said WB has given us nothing. And I wouldnt argue the point either, since I dont believe that.

damn right!! it's so much better this way.

i need a GL tv series now too...

One scene I loved in The Flash debut episode was right at the end when he leaps in costume over the car to rescue the man - it looked surprisingly convincing FX-wise.
