The Dark Knight Rises Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman XXX

That's a load though. Anne is an actress, and it's her job to seek out unconventional and uncharted roles, and transform herself into these characters. Hathaway is not Vin Diesel. She's not seeking to be a one-dimensional typecast actress.

With that type of mentality, Chris Nolan would have passed on Heath Ledger as The Joker.

Jennifer Anniston as Catwoman?

Do you remember the first time Ledger was announced? Oh boy. Even I was far from sure...

To be fair, he didn't suggest that Aniston be CW. He said that he thought Aniston is a good actress, but she wouldn't fit the CW role. Same as Anne, aka, just because someone's a good actress, doesn't automatically mean she's CW material.

To which I genenrally agree, but not in Anne's case.

I know :cwink: But I shivered at the very thought alone. :cwink:

Do we know which actresses was in audition for CW role?

Here's the TDKR clip. Blake interviews Selina. Thanks be to Redfirebird2008.

Letterman may or may not have spoiled the ending of TDKR, so I think that's why nobody's been posting the interview. :funny: It's hard to tell with those comedian types.... People with weak hearts should stay away. :oldrazz:

"You should be afraid as I am" I love that. I'm glad this is same s ene in the trailers. I don't want to see anymore I promise myself but yet I seen two now. (no pun I intented here lol)

I knew Anne was a great actress, but I couldn't picture her nailing this role, I don't blame anyone else who doubts her if they haven't seen any footage of her in the role yet.

I love the part where she rolled her eyes.

Because she's the love interest that Batman deserves, but not the one that he needs right now...

And here I thought that was John Blake :funny:

J.Howlett said this was posted in The Art and Making of TDK Trilogy:

Though there is sexual tension between Selina and Batman in the story, Bruce Wayne's real love interest is Miranda Tate, a passionate advocate of Wayne Enterprises' now-defunct fusion energy program.

Just focus on the first part. ;)

Already doing it :D

Ironic though that for the couple that has the ST going on between them aren't the ones that have a fireplace going on next them while they're covered in sheets.haha

Well that's how it's always been in classic comic books. Bruce dates Silver St. Cloud, Talia, Vicky Vale but there's always Catwoman there to remind her where he's got to stay.

^ exactly, there's always been that ordinary gal in Bruce's life, but Catwoman's there to remind him that he is not meant to have a normal life. *Terry McGuinnis voice* Geez Bruce, you gotta accept that fact: you're Batman.

I wouldn't put Talia in the "lead to a normal life" list. Granted she doesn't have a cowl, but her life is far from ordinary.

I'm wondering if she only half-heartedly believes her own line about "a girl's gotta eat." It seems, based on that scene and the previous one, that she's said it so many times that it's lost all truth and meaning over the years. Kind of reminds me how Bruce started off stealing to eat, then he learned the thrill behind committing a crime and its success. Nice link between the two.

Niiiiice. Her delivery also seems to hint what you're saying.

What's funny is I didn't make the connection until I was writing the first sentence. 90% of my posts seem that way to me. I find what I'm going to say as I'm typing. Most of the time I realize I don't make sense, or I invalidate my own argument and I don't end up posting. If I posted every response I start, my count would be almost 12,000 by now.

I'm at the point where I'm not paying attention to clips/spots/reviews, all focus is just on seeing the movie, but here's Anne outside Letterman.

Hi guys, longtime lurker here- I enjoy reading your posts more than posting.

Anyway, just want to chime in about how much I love that Selina's impression of Bruce changes from 'Guy who wants to reform me because of what's in his pants other than his wallet' to 'Strange man whose car you shouldn't ride in'.

I pray she makes fun of his Bat-voice later on.

I love, absolutely LOVE that eyeroll she does at being "offered" protection.

:hrt:

Why does Selina Kyle appear to be all to whisper-y and scared out of her wits?
Is it all just an act? Where is the confident and devil-may-care attitude?

EDIT:

Noticed the eyeroll but still.
Blake: Can you speak a little louder?

No, lol...

Don't remind them that Catwoman isnt the only skintight catsuit wearing femme fatale Bats has the hots for :oldrazz::cwink::woot:

I'm getting kinda annoyed that interviewers constantly fail to mention Julie Newmar when talking about Catwoman actresses, but mention Halle Berry like she did something for the character, lol.....
