Loved crazy Thea, wish they'd call her Red Arrow like she wanted. Oliver gets to get a name change, why can't speedy? Awesome episode.

So with that ending on the flashbacks.

Could we see Amell grow his hair and beard throughout season four and by five look like the good old green arrow we know

Loved this episode. It seems like they are heading in the right direction. Although i still find the flashbacks too far-fetched and pointless nowadays imo. Thea, went in the Speedy get up is awesome as this out of control gal, when she's just regular Thea? Ehhhh not so awesome. I actually really enjoy where Felicity is heading, it's nice to see her be not so whiny and over the top emotional all the time. Anarky is gonna be a nice villain moving forward. Amell is starting to open up with this character and not be so one dimensional which is definitely a plus. Overall a very solid episode. Oh and Darhk is so epic. Loving him so far.

What a terrible take on Anarky. :*(

Good episode but not as good as the opening episode IMO. I remember the writers said that Damien Darhk was supposed to be pure evil (more so that Merlyn, Slade and Ra's) and yet he didn't seem to approve of the daughter being kidnapped by Anarky and gave Lance the address of where she was being held. I am interested to find out more about him and see how he fits the writers description of pure evil. That said, I liked Darhk again in this episode like I did last week and Thea was also good in this episode.

They should give Holland a voice modulator or something, though, because her tough girl act is more funny than threatening. :oldrazz:

I thought it was great episode, I loved the scenes with Ollie and Thea, especially in the Arrow Cave, that was really well done and the new approach Ollie is taking with everyone is a welcome one IMO. Just glad Thea is accepting there is a problem as opposed to loony denial.

Dahrk has really imposed himself as a threat and I liked what they did with Anarky, very effective spin on the character and I think next time we see him he'll have the mask and costume.

It's a shame Jeri Ryan isn't sticking around, although her character made the logical call and it's opened the interesting path to Oliver running for mayor, I'm guessing the fact he has a son will be dug up by whoever runs against him as part of political smearing.

The action was great, the opening sequence in particular was spectacular and Anarky vs Ollie and Thea was quality.

The little scene in the van with Laurel and Digg was nicely underplayed, and I like the developments between Laurel and Thea, they are all growing independently, as is Felicity with her Palmer tech storyline with Mr. Terrific.

This season is off to a great start IMO.

Shame this episode has reignited the DEATH TO LAUREL train they died down.

Why? She had a good scene with Digg, interesting development of her relationship with Thea that is going to give the 2 of them a good story of their own, and she had the badass action moment at the start.

Still can't care for Laurel. And I admit that I may just be too biased. When she doesn't do anything annoying, the best I can do is to simply not complain about the character. And I had only 1 minor nitpick this Episode. I still feel like Cassidy can't display strong, without coming across really b**chy. Like when she went all up in Ollie's face, after the incident in the cave with Thea, and was like "What's going on!?". The face, the tone and delivery, like she's accusing him of something.

But on another subject. Corpses, do they usually look that fresh, after being buried for at least 6 months? I'm sitting here, googling info on body decomposition after death. Only info I can find is that it can take up to 12 years in a coffin, for the body to be nothing but a skeleton.

Oh, and I guess here comes nitpick number 2. Did Laurel skip over the part where Thea said she was mostly dead, when she went into the pit? I really wish they wouldn't make Laurel responsible for bringing Sara back.

Definitely enjoyed the episode. The character interactions were strong and engaging, the action scenes were cool, and story feels like it's moving forward briskly. Oliver had a lot of good scenes, and there was particularly strong material for Felicity and Thea.

Plus the episode brought us a few new characters from the comics -- Mr. Terrific, Anarky, and Baron Reiter.

Plus we got an original character, Jessica, played by Jeri Ryan, who did a great job with her performance. I hope the writers will think up a reason to bring her back and give her some more stuff to do this season.

I agree. I thought Laurel was very good in this episode. Her fight scenes were great, she came across as a valuable member of the team, and her conversation with Diggle was nicely executed.

I kinda disagree because I thought it was a natural reaction on Laurel's part, given the circumstances. She had just witnessed Thea savagely attack Oliver, and she had never seen Thea do anything like that before. Then it soon became clear that Oliver knew why Thea was acting that way, but he hadn't bothered to tell the rest of the team about it (as usual).

So I thought Laurel was perfectly justified in demanding that Oliver clue everyone else in on why Thea had suddenly lost control of herself. Not only is Thea her teammate and friend, but she's also become almost like a little sister to Laurel at this point. You really can't blame her for getting aggravated with Ollie for not filling her in on something this important about a fellow member of the team. It just didn't strike me as b**chy on her part.

Yeah the "crazy Thea" thing is still not really working for me. They're playing as way too out of nowhere. I kept saying that they should have given us at least a couple of teases to this last season, and I still think that.

You're probably right. But seeing that exact face for 3 whole seasons, my natural reaction is to associate that face with the version of Laurel I just really hated. Sure, she now kicks ass and is a valuable member of team Arrow, but then I see that face and hear that tone, and I get immediate flashbacks to Season 1&2 Laurel.

And now she's digging out her sister, who's been dead for over half a year, trying to resurrect her. And that after she saw what the side effects of the Pit are.

Well not learning from their past mistakes or recognizing the freaking obvious is hardly a trait that's unique to her on this show.

I forgot to mention the biggest development in the final flashback scene, clearly Amell joined me and Primal Slayer on team no wig for Canary and now Katie is free of her hideous hairpiece he has demanded to be as well! :D

Katie has clearly been putting a lot of work into her stunt training as she has been looking great in both her fights so far, and I do like a bond developing with her and Diggle. I also think her wanting to resurrect her sister makes sense, no matter the warning signs I think most people would take the risk to get a loved one back, and in fairness her and Thea are off to find out what exactly the deal is in Nanda Parbat before doing anything.

A nice episode.
Seeing all the team fight together is cool.
It is cool to see Thea becoming more violent and crazy, I wish they started that directly in season 3 and I hope that they will last.

But not a fan of Felicity becoming the ceo and her storyline.
I like Sara but I don't like at all that she will be alive again.
We already have Ray that he isn't dead.

Seeing Thea beat Anarky was cool but Oliver who beat Ra's having difficulties against him meh...

Oliver's gone soft which is something I think he will discover.

That was still a great fight. Oliver is not going to be a world beater against everyone. Komodo was a challenge for him in episode 302.

The other thing is he trained specifically for Ra's, Anarky was an unknown and that dual weapon must have caught him off guard.

I didn't like it personally and the stunt double for Anarky was visible for me.
I liked Komodo in the new comics, I would have liked that he was more than what they do to him in the show.

I was a little taken aback. After 5 years of training and then being trained by Ra's, Oliver's early struggle caught me off guard. But yeah maybe he has gone soft.

Another solid episode. Anarky is a welcomed addition to the show. I did catch the Thea stunt double's mask coming off during the last fight. :funny:

Liking the direction everyone's headed in right now.

Because they view Laurel bringing back Sara after seeing Theas side effects as beyond selfish and they think that Laurel is manipulating Thea.

Her body would've been decomposed to goop.

Actually, it wouldn't be. I Googled how long it takes for the human body to decompose over the summer in anticipation of this very episode, and it takes a LOT longer than you'd think.
