I've been trying to get into this show but I just can't handle the soap opera love triangles. I finished season 1 and started season 2 but I just can't take it any more.

Ok so just stop watching then? Problem solved!

I have stopped watching it. Someone tell me if it gets better.

If I could offer some advice, just listen for endorsements and light reviews of single episodes. The love-triangle stuff waxes and wanes. It was much stronger in Season One, but there were still episodes like The Odyssey where it wasn't present and we got an excellent action and adventure flashback to the island.

Similarly, the first few Black Canary episodes dropped most of the romance angles in favor of using somewhat more realistic family drama in its place. You can probably just hear about the episodes that are more serious and watch those.

If you didn't like it after the end of season 1, you're probably not going to.
Honestly though...have you ever read any comic books? Because almost every comic out there with a male hero is about the same when it comes to love interests and triangles. Even Batman constantly finds himself in those.

I was a bit disappointed by the dinner scene. I was fully expecting that things would be thrown.

Great episode! I got really hype when dude started making all those references to time because I figured it was the Clock King(Was hoping they'd went w/the Temple Fugate one tho, but that name does seem kind of unrealistic. This one acts like Temple, so that's good enough for me). I remained very exited throughout the rest of the show. Just when they'd defeated him & I'd finally started to calm down....Slade shows up at the damn house!!!!! Can't wait until next week!

Now that we have the Clock King I want him on the Suicide Squad coordinating things like he did in the Task Force X episode on JLU.

This needs to happen. I hope ARGUS approaches him, offering him and his sister treatment, in return for his services.

IMO, season 2 was a huge step up in quality. The end of season 1 was good, but season 2 is where the show got me addicted

^ season 1 is good and season 2 is great, I was laughing like a maniac when slade showed up, so good

DC COMICS CHARACTERS WHO COULD HIT THE MARK ON "ARROW"
http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=51119

Bringing Lois Lane in for a guest appearance at some point would definitively draw a line in the sand over Arrow/The Flash being connected to the DCCU, and in probably the easiest way. You actually bring in Superman and it's just too jarring within the world Arrow has created. Batman and GA have too many parallels for it to not seem like "Oh Hai, Ollie, I'm the better version of you." But Lois can be done.

Seeing Hal pre-GL ring would be pretty badass too.

Clock King was awesome...

And honestly, to the 'no love triangle' guy; it's like 1/10 of what Smallville did so get over it.

The acting, action scenes, villains, and the comic-nods all outweigh a few minutes here and there. I had pre conceived notions this was a CW melodrama as well, and sadly missed out on the awesomeness of last year. I luckily gave it a chance and have fallen in love with a massive catch up and now enjoying season 2.

Hell, the Oli/Laurel feud was more honest and real than most 'big budget' films that come out, this show is too mature for CW sometimes...

The last episode where Dig tells Felicity that she's irreplaceable makes me want Dig and Felicity to end up together.
