I'd like to see her Year One costume.

That looks really good. I also like this costume:

Also a fantastic costume. ^ I don't foresee the long eared mask showing up, as to distance her from Batman.

Some interesting info (from Dallas Comic-con via CBM):

1. Oliver’s 5 years on the Island will be explored over 5 seasons
“Oliver has a back story… and we have a plan to tell that backstory over 5 seasons. That’s the plan but all you ever think about is shooting episode 18 right now. That’s our forty-first episode… and all we think about is we need to make our forty-first episode better than our fortieth episode.”

2. Season Finale will be BIG on size and scope
Which he reveals won’t be finished filming until April 17th.

“Some people haven’t heard about the size and scope of our finale. We are actually saving money on episodes we are shooting right now so that we can put it into the finale. And I have no idea how they are gonna turn that around in time.”

3. Diggle is getting his moment in the sun
The “Suicide Squad” episode will be all about Diggle, so much so that Amell will only be filming 4/9 days (usually he films up to 7 days) for that episode.
4. Stephen Amell want’s Ra’s al Ghul to be on the show.

“I want Ra’s al Ghul on the show. Let me clarify something about the pronunciation of Ra’s al Ghul. Because Nyssa in the most recent episode says Raysh, but its been established prior by people in Starling city saying its Razz. So I needed to follow suit despite mild protestations made by me. It would be fantastic to see that character on the show. We certainly name dropped him… a lot."

5. Episode 15 is called "The Promise" and its all about Katie Cassidy's Laurel and Ollie

"Before flying here I watched episodes 14 and 15. There's a scene between Katie Cassidy and I in episode 14 that I'm incredibly proud of and as a whole... the episode 15 is called "The Promise"... and as a whole I was just blown away by that episode. I actually bought wi-fi on the plane yesterday so that I could be in email with the producers and the director just to say I'm very proud to be a part of this. Our 15th episode is by far our best episode of the series."

6. Roy’s role on the team and his relationship with Ollie

“There is an uneasy alliance, because Oliver brought Roy into Team Arrow out of necessity not desire. He needed it at that particular moment. He’s worried. Because, as we are about to explore about what’s happened on the island, things so really bad with Slade, really really bad. He’s determined to not let that happen to Roy... but Roy has a lot to do to prove himself for Oliver to fully trust him.”

Hmm, I wonder what happens in year 3-5 on the Island after Slade, Ivo and Sara are "killed". We will prolly see Ollie go into this red building, I wonder who lives here. Natas maybe?

What episode was that in? I'd love it if it was Natas, that bald tiny man

I hope that building houses some supernatural elements. Ollie did say that during those 5 years, he encountered things that defy explanation. So I hope they don't just stop with the crazy stuff, once the Mirakuru arc is done.

I'd laugh if this is where Hawkman's spaceship crash landed, this could be his palace.

I just hope that they don't go over the top with the island flashbacks/back-story. I know Oliver went through hell during his time there, but they shouldn't try to establish later on that he went through "everything" on that island since wouldn't that mean that Oliver would have to be a much more capable person by the time we saw him rescued in Season 1?

And it'd be very easy for the Island itself to become a "plot device" if not used properly imho.

Yeah, I'd like to see him not learn everything on the island aside from how to fight better, and even offer more him some more good ole killings on the island.

I get that every day there, or every flash back has a point to the episode, and I really wonder how long he'll fight slade on the island for.

I'm assuming that Slade will leave the island after this season since they'll conclude this season's flash backs by showing on how Slade and Oliver fell apart and why Oliver thought Slade was dead for all this time.

Honestly, once the series comes to a close, I wouldn't mind someone putting a cut consisting of ONLY the island flashbacks so that we can see it from beginning to end and start with when Oliver returned to Starling City.

I gotta admit, sometimes it gets confusing when they go about presenting the narrative of showing Oliver's adventures on the island along with the present day adventures given on how we know on what eventually happens to Oliver at the end of it, let alone on how the island stuff is being made up as they go along as well.

I don't expect to see Slade "survive" year 3, maybe even the end of year 2.

Unless these things conveniently took place off-screen...

"Island" Oliver has yet to demonstrate these skills that he clearly knows in the present...

1. Speaking Fluent Chinese and Russian..

2. Being a Master Archer and skilled fighter

3. Getting that tattoo on his body that Shado had on her back

Heck, I'm wondering if they'll ever bring up "the list" that Oliver's dad gave to him when it comes to the Island Flashbacks since Oliver was adamant on finishing up that list when he first came back to starling city.

I honestly thought that either Yao Fei or Shado would have taught Oliver Chinese. And that he would have gotten Shado's tattoo from Shado herself. But now both of them are dead. I really wonder who they'll introduce next, to have him learn Chinese and get that tattoo.

I can believe Oliver being a self taught master archer. He got the basics from Yao Fei and Shado. Now he's got a number of years all by himself, to get good with it.

We saw Oliver speaking Chinese with Shado in episode 1. Shado has clearly taught him some.

1) oliver speaks Chinese pretty well, shado was teaching him during those 6 months, and I'm sure he'll start learning Russian soon, probably when he saves them from the boat.

2) he has been training with slade for around 8-10 months to spar and fight, and he did shoot fyers in the throat during the finale and I'm sure he and shado were practising with the bow during those 6 months between the season finale and season 2.

3) Stephen said we'll see him getting some tattoos soon.

And the list thing, I think I read somewhere the Oliver finds a video of his dad explaining the list to him. Currently on the island oliver is a pretty good fighter and archer.

When he ends up with the Russian folk and gets his tattoo, maybe he'll get Shado's tattoo while he's at it, as tribute.

And they said the fact that Isabelle's on the list will come up later.

I reckon "Island" Oliver will learn Russian from the Russian prisoner aboard the Amazo. The reason I suspect the guy will be important later on is because he's the same guy who was Oliver's contact in Moscow and because the name they used is KGBeast's real name (Anatoli Knyazev).

The way I see it playing out is that Oliver will rescue him (and perhaps the other prisoners) at some point; probably as the Amazo is being destroyed. He will then be Oliver's flashback companion (a la Yao Fei and Slade were). They will probably spend some time off the Island, whereupon they return to civilisation and Oliver earns his rank in the mafia. Some time later, something will eventually occur that requires Oliver to return to the Island (be it by choice or by force).

Hahaha! :funny: I just found another board, where someone else suggested Laurel to turn into Cupid.

I also saw someone bring up the crucible quote again. Yes, Laurel is in her personal crucible right now, and everyone expects her to come out of it stronger. But don't forget, there are 3 types of people that go into a crucible.

Most believe there are two types of people who go into a crucible—the ones who grow stronger from the experience and survive it, and the ones who die. But there's a third type. The ones who learn to love the fire. They choose to stay in their crucible because it's easier to embrace the pain when it's all you know anymore.

^ yep, let her go eviiiiiiiiiiiiiil!

Also thanks for those interviews with caity

I kind of think that we'll get either and entire season or most of a season with flashbacks that take place off-island. They've already implied that Oliver didn't spend all of those five years on that island. Maybe he and Slade steal the boat at the end of this season and season 3 takes place off-island.

It'd be cool if the island was once home to Amazons years ago. Like maybe have Ollie stumble upon a cave with drawings on the walls that hint at an off shoot of Themyscira.

Another thing (not sure if this is the right thread) but I was thinking about the proposed Hourman series. Do you think it will be connected to "Arrow"? I ask because of the drug that was used in the comics being called "Miraclo" (or something like that...would be interesting if the Mirakuru drug was the original form for it.)

I don't think Ollie is anywhere near the finished product we see in episode 1. He's had 6 months of training with Slade and Shado, one moth of very basic training with Yao. He's got ways to go before he can become the guy who rips someone like Nyssa to shreds in under ten seconds.
