My reaction:

People are ****ing dumb. Loved that trailer. So excited for tomorrow.

I do have to wonder what they have in mind for next season, big bad-wise. Someone new? Someone we've already met, but upped in villain status? Or will Slade stick around, but with new allies?

They'll probably bring the League of Assassins and HIVE out in full force? I think Slade will stick around in some fashion but he won't be the main baddie.

Ra's Al Ghul kicking Ollie's **** in. Eventually Ollie losing everything he loves and his identity becoming public? Growing the full Green Arrow beard?

They'll probably bring the League of Assassins and HIVE out in full force? I think Slade will stick around in some fashion but he won't be the main baddie.

He might even become an "anti-hero" for next season. I mean they could always do a "road to semi-redemption" for him where he doesn't completely reform but at least he does something that brings about good results.

Maybe he and Oliver will be forced to work together at some point next season.

I really wish though that the show wouldn't have introduced or used Count Vertigo yet, especially in the way that they did.

I would have preferred for a MUCH BETTER actor to have portrayed him and in the characterization where he's a diplomat/heir apparent to a foreign country.

Slide and Malcolm both have staying power as series villains, so one of the, could be at least the main foe for season there's first half, and Ra's is always in the wings. Honestly, Dusan would be just as good of a villain on the LoA front as anyone else. And they could maybe adapt Komodo and Onamatopoeia as bad guys.

My money's on a status quo shift being the big change. I keep thinking that one of the tricks in their bag would be to have Oliver reveal himself to the city, and then have some badguys come gunning for him afterwards. But the more obvious one to me is that this season ends with Thea under the control of Slade or Malcolm, thus putting her on track for an upgrade as well.

And there's always Gotham City's vigilantes to deploy if worst comes to worst. Nightwing probably isn't under Fox control, and considering out next few episodes will feature a lot of Gotham elements, I could see them finally confirming some vigilantes who wear black...

Seth Gabel's a good actor, it was the characterization that was the problem.

Either way, I think they have enough of an out if they really want to do the comic book character justice. Just have the real guy show up and say something like "Well, I don't care much for the Count's drug business, but he certainly did make a helluva name for himself."

If we can have a Deathstroke before the real Deathstroke, a green hooded archer preceding Oliver, (presumably) a pre-Black Canary Canary, and two men with the Merlyn name, I can't see why we can't have the legit Count Vertigo after The Count.

Plus, they really only just opened up their world to superpowers with Barry Allen's arrival and the Mirakuru. In season one, the drug thing could suffice, but now they've opened the door to the real deal Count Vertigo.

Ya know, that's not a terrible idea. I'd rather something like that happens to Roy a little later down the line, but that's a pretty good idea, none the less.

Slade should kill Sara. Perhaps he makes Oliver choose between her and Felicity. Oliver chooses for Sara to live, but Slade kills Sara, the one he loves, so that he knows how it feels.

I think it would be cool if the season ends with Slade stranding Oliver on the island to rot away alone before he finally comes to kill him. While in the flashbacks, Oliver takes the freighter and strands Slade on the island (before he's intercepted by the Russians).
