God, I really hope not. Maybe a DTV/video game thing, I don't know. But please God, no shared universe.

Yeah... no.

Arrow is too awesome to be mushed into this unhopeful and worn Snyder-Super world.

I'll admit it, I'm in the minority that feels like a shared universe could still work and be just fine. But I'm not getting into that conversation again because it's redundant.

There's no denying it could work. And having two shows about superheroes of their own avoids the usual pitfalls that befell Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I think a shared universe could work. I think the reason it held back Agents of Shield is that series is too tied to the movies. Half of the character development was tied to Fury and the season's big game changer happened in a movie. With Flash and Arrow essentially they are just as tied to the movie universe as Marvel's solo movies are. BvS will be during the summer so just end the season on a cliffhanger that leads into the movie. Same with JL.

I just don't like the idea of how much it could potentially limit the shows, and vice versa.

Or....OR

MULTIVERSE

I honestly thought it was impossible but after that hint at the end of the Flash pilot I think it's highly probably. Almost like a wink to the merger of the two.

How does it limit the two shows?
Both shows are already limited by characters the big 3 will not show up we are already seeing the character embargoes again.
Which brings up a point. The movie character's are being held off limits from Arrow correct? Well we all know that Flash will be in JL how come he wasn't held off limits for Arrow or TV?

As far as villains go Arrow uses low grade b listers to d listers of Batman's.
I mean who wouldn't want to see Manu's Deathstroke vs Ben's Batman.

Plus this way WB will not have to basically double spend on the Flash, or if rumors turn true about Diggle being GL, hell or even Fehr cast as Ra's.

If the shows and films get connected I'll be surprised, and extraordinarily happy.

If he is in the justice league lineup, I will die of happiness. lol. Gotta lower my expectations. :p

I'm not interested in a shared universe anymore. Flash is going to be doing his own thing with meta humans that I don't think are in the plans of the MOS-verse.

I'll take a shared universe.
I'm not convinced it can't work. I mean, in comics, Ollie doesn't always have to mention what's happening in the other DC characters' stories and vice versa. And even knowing the events of the movies doesn't necessarily mean he or Barry have to deal with them regularly.
Oliver may not be as jazzed as the others to team up. I don't think being a vigilante or having super powers is a mandate to join up with Batman or Superman.
Flash would be a different story but not impossible.

Obviously the writing would be key. If it's done write, it's in the scripts.

I could deal with multiverse if it's actually utilized. Why say it exists just to ignore it? I don't want to be appeased by words.

It just feels like a missed opportunity to succeed where Marvel hasn't quite done so, even if AoS is doing better now.

I'll live either way, but c'mon WB. We've had plenty of solo Superman and Batman movies.Use your imaginations a little.
(Yes yes, I know JL is happening but let's get crazy with the DC universe. )

I can't picture Grant Gustin alongside Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. He makes for a great TV Flash, but not film Flash. I mean I can barely see even Stephen Amell beside them.

I imagine he disobeyed an order from Waller and as punishment she dumped him back on the island. Remember her line "You're not still mad at me are you?"

My prediction as well.

Amell has piqued my interest on what the 3 things are he has set for SDCC outside of the Arrow panel. I'm hoping one is him unveiled as part of the Justice League movie and I'd also love an Arrow videogame announcement. I'm guessing thew other thing could be that rumoured event with Gotham and Flash.

As for the Arrow panel itself, I hope we get some scoops on the villain(s) and maybe a look at Roy and Thea's potential costumes. :D

As much as I am intrigued by a shared universe, I just don't think there is a chance of it happening.

Great casting choice too.

So does this mean he is "Seth". Because it was smacking us in the face the whole time.

Seth Gabel played The Count.

sounds like the Seth character.

‘SETH’ | A well-educated criminal with grand ambitions and a knack for chemistry, this potentially recurring character gains power over his enemies by exposing them to a drug that drains their willpower. Oh, and he is very much a physical match for The Arrow.

‘Member the “Seth” guy I told you about a couple of weeks ago? Well, the casting for that role has since been tweaked, and he is now described as a “shade of a man” with a quiet intensity, a “criminal mastermind who whistles classical music” as he goes about his devious business. There’s also talk of him having “reptilian eyes.” Whomever he is, he will be the Big Bad for the season opener.

The past 3 days we've gotten the Akiko character (Katana), Toshi (Maseo Yamashiro) and now Seth (The real Count Vertigo). They're probably going to reveal the Daniel character tomorrow.

Peter Stormare is Count Vertigo? That might be my favorite casting choice they've done.
