So this Count Vertigo will also be peddling the drug? Also Stormare does not seem like a physical match for Ollie at all.

So does this mean he is "Seth". Because it was smacking us in the face the whole time.

Seth Gabel played The Count.

Doubtful. He doesn't match the character description at all and Seth is the guy who already played him not the guy who's taking over as Vertigo.

Considering they're going to the trouble of doing a new Count Vertigo, one that has the identity of the comic character, AND after the concept of abilities/powers has been introduced to this universe, I think the drug thing will be their initial thought for what this guy is doing, only to have the rug pulled out from under them....

"You think I need a drug to make people feel like they're falling? Heh... silly archer."

Cut to: Ollie thinking he's going down a damn mudslide or whatever his power makes people feel is happening...

But great casting. Big stuff.

As for him being Seth-

A well-educated criminal with grand ambitions and a knack for chemistry, this potentially recurring character gains power over his enemies by exposing them to a drug that drains their willpower.

It is most definitely him.

As for the other thing, I meant they used Seth as a codename as a sort of nod because Seth Gable played The Count and this character is the real Count Vertigo, Werner Zytle.

Looks like alot of you got your wish! :woot::up:

I just don't like the idea of how much it could potentially limit the shows, and vice versa.

Agreed. Don't want to see another Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D situation.

But a multiverse? :woot:

Dat Multiverse Plz.

yes! Peter Stormare! One of the few actors who should never, ever play a good guy.

First Robert Knepper, now Peter Stormare! Great casting, hope their characters team up for some reason eventually so that we can get a Prison Break reunion :)

Awesome. I posted a while back that I hope they introduce a more comic like Count Vertigo and they did :applaud

Hopefully this Count has the internal vertigo inducing tech of the comics.

Update from Stephen Amell from FB

"Hey Guys -- I appreciate all the support and enthusiasm, but not everything I post is a cryptic indicator that I'm going to be in Batman V Superman. I'm not going to be in Batman V Superman."

Update from Stephen Amell from FB

Yes but now the twitter nerds are pointing out that he didn't deny that he's going to be in Justice League.

He doesn't have to be in either for the universe to be shared. I'll wait and see. I wonder what the 3 big things could be then? Video game?

I really want an animated DTV crossover movie with Amell and Gustin.

willa holland and Stephen on twitter
@amellywood · 3h
I fear Willa. RT @Willaaaah: Great news I'm gonna beat @amellywood at winning San Diego Comic Con! #agirlcandream #justwait #arrowseason3

if I had to guess the 3 things, him and maybe others will show up in their costumes at comic con, or just show up in some other non-arrow related cosplay. Maybe he crashes the Flash panel. and something to do with Lego Batman 3.

Happy to see there's a new Count Vertigo. Now, if they can do the same with Huntress somehow...

It's great hearing that Peter Stormare is returning to comic book media; he was an awesome Lucifer.

Stormare? Awesome.
So he's a villain on the blacklist and arrow at the same time. :)

Amell has piqued my interest on what the 3 things are he has set for SDCC outside of the Arrow panel. I'm hoping one is him unveiled as part of the Justice League movie and I'd also love an Arrow videogame announcement. I'm guessing thew other thing could be that rumoured event with Gotham and Flash.

As for the Arrow panel itself, I hope we get some scoops on the villain(s) and maybe a look at Roy and Thea's potential costumes. :D

I don't think Thea going to live with her dad means she's going to become some costume villain.

With a casting like that I wonder if Count Vertigo will be the Big Bad (or ONE of the Big Bads) of this season.

Stormare is an excellent choice and a definite upgrade from Gabel. The guy's an actual European, for one thing, and he's just as hammy but more sincerely sinister and disturbing, kind of like Nicholas Cage's anti-matter duplicate. The guy's magnetic and intimidating, a perfect mix for a badguy like Count Vertigo.

Though, let's do a quick tally for replaced characters: Wintergreen for Slade, Sara for Laurel, Vertigo for The Count. Anyone else?

When Laurel becomes BC, will be considered the replaced replacement?
