Exactly. Don't get me wrong, I am excited as hell for Ra's but this is the only reason why a part of me wanted Ra's saved for the final season, because it could mean the show peaking early. In terms of DC villains, Ra's is it, unless you wanna bring in Lex, Joker or Darkseid which I doubt they can.

None of them are on par with Ra's, let alone beyond him, even Savage.

Both Vandal and H.I.V.E rank above Ra's in the super villain hierarchy,they fight teams of heroes.

I know they can't use him, but there needs to be at least one Batman reference.

Yup. I don't know how they can totally ignore its existence with all those Batman characters in town.(and other reference elsewhere ) They can do whatever they want of course, but it is too much. One day or another i think they will at least adress him.

They will definitely reference Bruce, but I'm sure it will be one of those subtle references that you'll have to really listen out for.

I'm not surprised he's appearing, but I am surprised he's the villain next season. Given the Amanda Waller flashback, I was expecting H.I.V.E. to be the big bad next season (ARGUS and HIVE seem to go together better than with the League of Assassins), with Ra's being possibly the season after.

I would add to that that you don't need the best villain to have the best story overall (and even an underwhelming villain in the comics can be done with fresh eyes to become much better).

Was really hoping they'd save him for Gotham. This could get messy if that show lasts beyond it's first season.

Its hard to get excited about CWs Arrow and Flash anymore knowing it won't lead into the DCCU. It's basically another Smallville. An amusing ride that can be hit and miss, but ultimately leads nowhere. Show feels like a pointless cash grab. The CW versions will sadly be easily overshadowed by the DCCU versions of the characters because they'll get all the mainstream attention.

Arrow has just under 3.5 million viewers weekly. Probably double if you count other ways of watching and the fans overseas.

Versions of what? All the characters popping up on Arrow, The Flash, and whatever other TV show they decide to put on the CW won't be in the movies. You are really delusionally over thinking this thing.

I also laugh at the notion of the comparing these shows to Smallville. Sorry but the only way they could be compared to Smallville is if the shows were strictly about Oliver's 5 years gone before he became Green Arrow and Barry's years before he became The Flash. Also Green Arrow and Flash will give the viewers a lot more than the DCCU will in terms of story.

Exactly, in fact, imo, this show is the ANTI-SMALLVILLE. Whereas Smallville was all about build up, Arrow wastes no time and gets to the good stuff right away and just builds on top of it. From episode 1 we saw Oliver in costume, shooting arrows and taking down bad guys. I think this is the reason so many people dig this show, it doesnt c*** tease you, it gives you what you want and keeps adding more and more of it.

This universe is ****ing awesome, it introduces us to DC characters that we likely won't see in the movies. So awesome. I couldn't be happier with the ARROW FLASH universe, it's doing everything right

Well, there seems to be 2 different ones. At least on youtube. One of them doesn't have the bit with Ra's at the end.
