What's the point of someone making a manip with yellow in it? It's just gonna be a manip to look at, when you watch the show its gonna be without the yellow so I never get the point of this altering what the shows or movies have created to fit what some want to see. When you look at the manip that's when it's gonna be what you wanna see, but when you watch the show or movie in action it will be what it is. This make a manip someone non sense is pointless.

"Hey viewers, you remember how Oliver and Sara had to go through Hell for fives years, and be trained by some of the biggest badasses on the planet, to get where they are. Remember how Diggle is ex-Special Forces, which explains his badassery. Yeah well forget all of that because Roy and Laurel can become costumed badasses after only a few episodes of mostly-offscreen training."

Except Roy didn't put on the suit until 12 episodes after Oliver agreed to train him and most of that he barely fought and when he did he had the mirakuru in him and all he did when he got cured and put on the suit was shoot a bow in close proximity at Slade's army. Now he has been training with Oliver for 8-9 months. A lot more believable than the way Laurel's story seems to be going.

:whatever: I'm not even gonna try to say anything cause you've already made your mind up and seem to think that each episode counts as 1 day or something. So in your mind shes only been training for a few days. Meanwhile in the universe of the show it's probably been over the course of a few weeks.

Exactly. "A few weeks"=not NEARLY long enough. It take more than a few weeks of training to learn ANY type of discipline, a lot longer. Again:

Oliver-Five years in Hell, personally trained by freaking Deathstroke.

Sara-Five years in Hell, trained by Ra's al Ghul and the LOA.

Diggle-Ex-Special Forces.

vs.

Roy-Could barely hold a bow properly, let alone shoot one. Spends several episodes in a comma after his Mirakuru-induced rage and the wakes up as an expert archer. At no point do we see his training progress, it's 0 to 180 and all off-screen.

Laurel-JUST started "seriously" training, with an ex-Boxer. Not nearly as impressive as Slade or the LOA. And apparently "a few weeks" is enough for her to throw on a costume a be a badass.

Nope doesn't work.

Yeah, pity we never actually SAW any of that training. It was all off-screen. Show, don't tell. Learn the concept Arrow writers.

I think I like Sara's suit better but Laurel looks awesome.

We still haven't even seen her do anything as canary yet. Just because she suits up doesn't mean she's gonna be fighting crazy like Sarah was. She might just go out and either suck and have to learn to build herself up more. Or she may go out and do nothing but basic street brawling not crazy flips and kicks type stuff. How about we see her fight as canary first before jumping to conclusions? Oh that's right this is the hype we cant do that.

It really doesn't need to be shown, people can figure it out in their heads it's pretty simple haha.

I just hope we at least don't have to endure too much more of Laurel raging. I don't want to keep watching her attempting to put people in the ground, who are potential suspects in Sara's murder. After Komodo and Malcolm, it would be getting old.

I really would have liked to see more of Roy's training. His transition from civilian to superhero didn't feel earned.

Her name is BLACK Canary after all.

That only implies that her outfit is predominately black, not completely. I don't think it would've killed them to throw some gold in there.

So is complaining about it.

agreed. Let's see her in action before we condemn her in action

Agreed. I think he should have suited up at the end of Season 3 at the earliest, with most of Season 3 focusing on his training.

I can only imagine crying and whining John Campea is going to be doing tonight. on arrow after show

Yes him. he promised if laurel becomes black canary he stop watching the show :whatever:

Hahaha he ****ing sucks. Good then hope he stops watching. But him like many others who love to complain and always says stuff like that, probably won't stop watching. They continue to watch because they love to keep *****ing and complaining non stop.

Agreed. I am very excited about this story arc, it is the only one I am looking forward to.

Can't blame him. I know I'm already tuning out during any Laurel scenes. Knowing that she'll already suit up, and probably still have her annoying characters traits, because the writers just can't write Laurel, doesn't make me look forward to any upcoming Episodes.

This all just feels like massive damage control. They had a plan with Laurel, introduced a character that was so much more likable, and pretty much had all the Canary traits, with exception of a few small details. So before people got too attached to her, they quickly killed her off in the beginning of Season 3, and try to push Laurel into the black leather as quickly as possible.

Amell's going to be on it tonight (if His Facebook comment is about the same show)... Doubt that guy will want to ***** about Cassidy with Amell inside arms reach...

They at least did fix the 'cleavage' issue haha...

But, something about the busy-ness makes it more porno than hero.

While Sara's had that simple line between biker gear/hero, that we've mostly had since X-Men 1.

Sara didn't train for five years. The first year she was stranded at sea and picked up by Ivo. The second year was on the Island and according to Nyssa when she found Sara she was living on the streets for god knows how long. Ra's wouldn't have spit on Sara if she was on fire. I think most of her training came from Nyssa. So maybe 18mos which is about equivalent to special forces training.

You don't need any training to put on a costume and beat most people ass if they have no formal training. So far Roy or Laurel haven't gone up against anyone that is the caliber of Nyssa,Merlyn or Deathstroke.Well Roy did and that lasted all of ten seconds. Wildcat is not just a boxer as we will find out.

EDIT: Never mind.

Spending three or so years with the League of Assassins is probably enough to turn you into a very capable fighter.
