Stephen Amell on the Arrow After Show just addressed the money issue. He said when a billionaire goes broke he's down to like 4million in his bank account and not 8 dollars.

That actually sounds about right.

multiverse kind of confirmed... amell said something on after show... don't be surprised if you see amell in some JL movie down the line.

Man, Amy Gumenick is pretty.

I don't think so. Want my honest opinion? Warning some of you might not like what my opinion but here goes.

I think the reason they are keeping Flash and Arrow separate from the Justice League is in case Batman vs Superman and Justice League go down in flames. If they fail then DC Universe isn't a total lost. They can let the two shows play out and then at the right time take both characters and use them as a stage point to relaunch the DC Universe.

I know what you all are going to say that they won't fail but the truth is that we don't know that. It's way to early to tell how they will play out.

That's ridiculous. Batman V Superman will have a budget higher than a season of Arrow and a seaon of the Flash put together. Maybe even two or three seasons. Even if the movie doesn't ro as well as they hope it will make more money than either of these shows could ever dream to pull in. If, for whatever reason, WB felt sacrificing these shows could improve their chances of making their movie a hit then they would probably ro everything in their power to make sure these shows never saw another season. Not sure how much power they have over what stays on air on the CW though

If he has that much money, why doesn't he own a house? And why couldn't he afford to buy a gift for his best friend's daughter?

It's still a bit of an incongruity, but if you really wanted to justify it, it's probably because he's spending a lot of money on all the things he needs to be the Arrow. He most likely didn't buy a house, because, in his view, why spend money on something when he can just sleep in the Foundry?

But then why was such a huge deal made out of his losing his fortune last season? You would have thought the Queens were going to go broke. Not rich people broke, but legitimately broke. And again: with some of that spare cash laying around, Oliver couldn't afford anything for little Sara?

I don't think Amell's interpretation of Oliver's financial situation is that accurate.

he may have some money but it all been spent on his arrows. I do wonder what happen to the Queen Mansion. Did he sell the place or just abandon it.

The company owned the house, I think, so Ray Palmer might be living in it. :oldrazz:

Stephen Amell is too proud to admit the plot holes and the show's nonsensical stuff. If they're uncapable of dealing with the whole money issue intelligently, then they should've never went there, period. He said he wants Arrow to be the best show on television, but so far, they have failed the city! Joke aside, they're not among the best tv series, the writing and the acting are way below shows like GoT, Breaking Bad and a long etc. Even Season 3 is below Season 2 so far, we'll see if the second half saves the season from its mediocrity.

Yeah, I absolutely agree that pride is clouding his judgment. I think he's so caught up in the fact that everyone works really hard to produce the show that it sometimes (and that's the operative word) escapes him that hard work doesn't always produce good (or consistent) results.

I agree that this season isn't riding the momentum wave of season 2, but at the same time, season 2 started with a huge bang with the introduction of Sara/Canary, pushing it into a more comic book like show.

I do believe the rest of the season will pick up after the crossover. Right now we're getting little glimpses of the various movie parts, but once we start to see how everything works together, I think we'll see better episodes and storylines.

ARROW Season 3, Episode 7 Stills; "Draw Back Your Bow"

They have a lot to prove in the second half, many people are not very convinced of Matt Nable's casting as Ra's. I don't think he fits the part, he doesn't have the right menacing presence, but to be fair, we have to see more of him to judge properly. If he's not as good as Merlyn or Slade, most fans are going to be disappointed, time will tell.

You really should consider not watching the show anymore. The fact that you are measuring it to a show like Breaking Bad is asinine. Seriously i'm not sure this show is for you anymore. All you do on here is either chastise Laurel "haters" or complain about the show.

You and a few others are completely blowing Oliver's money thing out of proportion. He lost stuff including his income doesn't mean he didn't have some money stashed away. Also people forget that it has been 6 months since he lost the company, plausible that any money he did have he has gone through some and he has no income to replace it. So he's basically on a fixed budget. Yes he can spend on some stuff like plane tickets or dinner. Yes he could have bought Diggle's daughter a gift but he handcrafted her a gift, which made it more personal.

I think you have a valid point. If this DCU fails, they'll still have a proven success on tv.

I really don't get how the way "Ollie being broke" is being handled really effects the story at large.I mean, yeah,it's not been dealt with that well, but I doubt we're supposed to think he's destitute.

Arrow: Behind the Scenes Video Shows Off Thea's Stunt Training

I didnt like the episodes 2-5, but the recent episode got me hooked again. It was dark and gritty. And im liking Laurel's transformation into the new Canary.

It doesn't, which is the problem. His financial issues don't appear to have negatively affected him at all, so what was the point of having him lose most of his fortune in the first place?

Season two says hi.

It motivated him to get his company back, which obviously didn't work. It ends storylines of their family throwing lavish parties or making lavish donations. He's no longer a figure central to the city, he's just a person in the city.

Are they subtle, relatively unimportant changes? Probably. But they do pave the way for Ray Palmer's rebranding of the city.

Dont worry, guys. I think right now they're just putting pieces and characters in place. I think after the winter break we're gonna see the storyline shift in high gear. This is actually how it was in season 2 as well. It wasn't until Shado died on the island and Slade came back to Starling where the momentum and tension just kept building and building.

I've been a bigger fan of this season so far than I think most people have, but this last episode was weak as hell.

Excited to see Cupid, but I can't help but worry about yet another archer coming into the show. Seems like they have too many.
