Katana is a great character, if she comes to Starling when Ollie returns, she could train Laurel to become a better fighter... and a couple of years later, a Birds of Prey spinoff. :word:

That won't happen til Laural meet's Richard the dragon the ultimate master as sarge steel was for Roy. they need someone to replace huntress since I'm sure they plan to write her as a psycho working with suicide Squad or as Waller personal attack dog assassin. & most people don't want to see her back.

So kataga can work as huntress' s replacement since that's out the window . but hmmm I guess cat woman is off limit's & there's no power girl yet so they have to use super girl since we can't have power girl of which was one of the original members

I'd love a Birds of Prey show (or movie, preferably movie) but not in this continuity. Laurel sucks, Huntress isn't Huntress and it'd be missing something to me without Babs.

I say Nyssa will be the one training Laurel in honor of Sara and Laurel will talk to Nyssa about what to do with her Sara situation with her father

Laurel/Katana/Nyssa working together would be interesting

I Rest my case but Laural can work. People warmed up to her last night but they have to keep her focus on being the black canary& don't make her act stupid or biatchy . & no romance til has become a fun likable heroin .

I really wish Ollie was MIA for a month show wise the characters need the development

then they better make sure she ever ever fid out about ollies sister cause some how that will be an issue I just don't see Nyssa as a bird of prey not with the way I see them headed with her.

She's not the most rational of characters when she's ticked off about her beloved.

Looks like Ray will be getting a big push.

“In episode four of ‘Flash’ when Felicity came by, it wasn’t just a gag to have Felicity come by," Kreisberg explained. "It really was integrated into the story. When you reach what’s going on in ‘The Flash’ at that point in the season, Barry is really at a crossroads. Having Felicity come by exactly when he needs her really plays into the whole storyline. It’s fine because as Marc said, Ray Palmer is all about technology and STAR Labs is all about technology. We get to see Ray so happy to be in STAR Labs… With Cisco [Carlos Valdes] and Ray, they’re new best friends. The STAR Labs team is going to help Ray further his ATOM project.”
That is pretty self-explanatory. Ray is building his suit and STAR Labs will help him! If he builds his suit very soon, he will beat Ant-Man to live action!

The Flash - Episode 18: "All-Star Team-Up"

So, that means he will shrink after all? I read comments about how some were worried they might base him on Silver Age Atom, who had different power sets.

It's most likely going to be the equivalent of when Felicity went to Star Labs last season. It's to help build up hype and introduce more characters into a bigger world. Now that Ray will have connections to Star Labs, he won't need Felicity's help as much and probably won't need to be in Star City either.

So am I the only one wondering where Ted Grant has been? We haven't seen or heard of him since episode 6.

Its been that long??? wow. He is in at least 1 other episode before he disappears into the shadows again, most likely for the remainder of the season.

Should have them in a birds of prey spin off series along with Huntress.

That could have worked. Had it been Sara as Canary, together with Nyssa and maybe Katana. But a Birds of Prey with training wheels Black Canary and Cop Killer Psycho Huntress? No thanks.

Yup. He's back for episode 12. I heard he had left the show, but couldn't find anything to confirm that.

The actor is now a regular on another tv show that is on Starz which is why he is disappearing.

By the time they would get around to it, the training wheels will most likely be off.

Yeah there was a lot of gossip, but nothing that would cause her to quit or be fired I think.

Of course, but you know, haters are gonna hate... The CW loves Katie Cassidy (Supernatural, Melrose Place, Gossip Girl), if they feel a Birds of Prey series could work, they will do it.

Anyway, the producers have said (again!) Laurel will continue to evolve:

The producers teased that the three episode run is very much a showcase for Laurel as she makes her debut on the mean streets of Starling as Black Canary. But determination and a few boxing lessons don’t make a hero: “She clearly doesn’t have Sara’s skill. Sara was essentially Oliver’s equal in a lot of ways. She literally went through the same exact experiences with him and then trained under Ra’s al Ghul,” Kreisberg pointed out. “Half of being a vigilante is, as Nyssa [Katrina Law] would say, being fearless. As Laurel says, it’s being crazy. Right now she has the crazy in spades. The thing about Laurel is — for people who are concerned that she’s going from zero to Black Canary — just because you put on a costume and a mask and run around doesn’t make you anyone else’s equal. She gets stabbed, she gets her ass handed to her, but the thing that’s amazing about Laurel is she just keeps coming and it doesn’t matter how many times she gets knocked down to the mat. And believe me, she gets knocked down to the mat, but she keeps coming back and she won’t be stopped.”

He added, “What’s interesting for her character is all of this started because she wanted to avenge Sara. Her arc of the season is really going from avenging Sara to honoring her… A lot of the back half of the season is Laurel and Nyssa finding common ground. When we met [Oliver] in the pilot he had already trained. We’re going to get to see that evolution with Laurel.”

She will train with Nyssa, so when Season 4 starts, she'll be a decent fighter by then. But the real canary cry would be even cooler, after Oliver's ridiculous "death" and recovery, they should stop pretending the show is more grounded than the Flash.

“Slade is definitely [resurfacing] in the present day,” showrunner Andrew Kreisberg affirms. And his disposition remains unchanged. “Not that he’s ever happy, but he’s particularly unhappy,” says the EP. “When he comes back, he’s out for blood.” Bonus scoop: Speaking of baddies, Vinnie Jones (who on Wednesday begins an arc as Danny “Brick” Brickwell) teased for me a fight scene in which a stunt woman jumped out a high window and grabbed a rope dangling from a helicopter above. Hmm, which character could that be?

VERTIGO (GUEST STAR PETER STORMARE) RETURNS AND PITS CANARY AGAINST BLACK CANARY — Oliver (Stephen Amell) is thrown by the changes within Team Arrow. He’s used to calling the shots but sees that the team has evolved in his absence and tensions quickly escalate in the lair. Oliver is furious that Laurel (Katie Cassidy) has been going out as the Black Canary and tells her to stop risking her life, but when Vertigo (guest star Peter Stormare) hits the streets again, Laurel goes against Oliver’s wishes and tracks down Vertigo who hits her with a full dose of the drug. Laurel’s biggest fears revolve around her sister Sara (guest star Caity Lotz) so the Vertigo causes her to hallucinate an epic fight between Canary and Black Canary. Meanwhile, Chase (guest star Austin Butler) surprises Thea (Willa Holland), and Roy (Colton Haynes) warns Thea to stay away from Malcolm (John Barrowman). Michael Schultz directed the episode written by Jake Coburn & Emilia Ortega Aldrich.

episode 13 description spoilers

Lol i can already see the comments to come for Canary vs. Black Canary. But it sounds like a good episode. But hopefully this is a "prove Oliver wrong" episode and not a "well he is right but...."

no more flips noooooooooooooo:csad::csad:

ETonline: We have to end this conversation on a light note. There’s a Twitter account dedicated to Roy’s flipping!
Haynes: (Laughs.) @Roy_Flips, I know! I have to tell you, I don’t think Roy’s going to flip anymore. I’ve seen the one where he’s flipping over the person. My stunt double, Curtis, is like the coolest person ever and he’s a really good flipper. I’ve been using the batons now, so you’ll see a baton flip but yeah, I know… I’m going to let [the fans] down!
