True, but unlike Ra's...Slade was present (in either past or present scenes) for most of Season 2...and he was more of a hands on villain.....where his stunt double wasn't so easily spotted.lol

I was watching a scene earlier from last season where Slade attacked the team inside the Lair, and it hit me why Slade seemed to be such a great villian. It's because he basically had two seasons to be built up. Deathstroke was hinted at in the pilot, and even though that one ended up being Wintergreen, we still met Slade and saw his transformation and why he hated Oliver. It was all personal and there was so much behind the reason why.

Yes it feels personal with Ra's since Oliver believes he has to protect Thea, but there just isn't any history there, outside of Merlyn's past, which we have yet to learn, and that one mention of Ra's from last season.

So traumatized that when it was storming outside he slept next to the open window and attacked his mother when she tried to wake him up? I don't know, he just seems far to normal in the flashbacks up to this point. Of course something even more traumatizing could happen to him but...ya know.

Something they've been hinting at this season is Oliver's mental state is not all there, and thinking back to the pilot, I feel like they kinda wanted to take him down the route of PTSD. I feel like being away from the island reduces just how crazy he may have gotten, but I would love to see them fully address that on the show at some point. I mean, we've reach the halfway point of his journey and I would really hate to see them get too far off the island.

I thinking that there been some change of plan for Ra's as the big villain....perhaps he still is but the event will continue to first half of season 4......maybe first 4 or 5 episode to wrap up the storyline...it would help to build the rival between Oliver and ra's since there is no connection which I guess is good since it won't be revenge/personal again

Introduce Ra's this season demonstrate how dangerous he is but Brick serves as the villain for most of the rest of this season maybe have the League show itself over in Flash ala Merlyn building a base over there to lead into another crossover between the series next season.
Most important at the moment is discovering who mind controlled Thea into killing Sara and have them be allied with Brick what if Waller had a hand in that?
Did Merlyn arrange this to throw off Ra's off his trail?

I don't think he was traumatized from being on the island, he was traumatized for everything, including Hong Kong.

Well safe to assume next season will be him in Russia and then the year after that back on the Island which i'd imagine it's him by himself versus whomever. Maybe we finally get that Super Max movie only altered to fit Arrow. But more than enough time to have some kind of trauma.

But it's not like he constantly did it. He did it one time (iirc) and it was his first night back sleeping in his room after 5 years. Are we ruling out a little embellishment on Oliver's part on that one? Maybe he was just selling it.

So last time I asked you guys if Felicity would be the major death this season and you all pretty much disagreed. So what about Quentin Lance? I mean there is the heart condition, and the secret being kept from him is because of the heart condition. So could this be Quentin's last season? Or do you guys think there won't be a major death this season?

There already was a "major death" this season.Sara. Hopefully that will be enough to satiate the writers bloodlust.

Still,it's pretty much a given Katana's husband and/or son will also die,so there's still more death to come.

lol yeah that won't happen it would be cool. but it won't happen if there's is another cross over or a major of them I'm sure it have to do with a meta human accelerator explosion ether from well's or someone else and Ray will have to buy star labs take over as head. well any other small cross over is possible but some how I don't see Malcolm running to Barry's home town of all places to hide.

Brick's arc is most likely done in the next episode. But I did here someone compare the state of the Glade to that of Batman's No Man Land, and I would love to see them go that far.

I also can't wait to see more interaction between Oliver and Ray. I'm pretty sure Ray is going to be gone after the season and I think he will find out Oliver's secret by season's end and hand the company back to him once he realizes how much Oliver needs the resources. I think Oliver will use Ray's ideas for rebranding the city and will add to them to the point where he will eventually be loved by the city to the point where he eventually becomes Mayor. It would tie into Barry's advice of being someone the city could look up to in the form of Oliver Queen.

But in all seriousness, I can definitely see him gaining the company this season and using his well to better the city and clean up his family name and becoming so loved by seasons end that he'll run for mayor in season 5, which I still think will be when the show ends.

I kind of feel like they are making Ollies 5 years gone a little messy with him popping up around the world just to have him get put back on the island and come back all traumatized from being on the island.

Seriously..... The synopsis of "the return" is bizarro.

it should be how they end it . some how I'm not sure if they planned this show like JMS did with his bablyon 5 show

I really hope the show doesn't go past 5 seasons. The longest CW shows, Smallville and Supernatural, were both planned for 5 seasons max, and they both suffered in quality after. Not to mention, the showrunners said in the past that they've tried to do an episode without flashbacks in the past and it just didn't feel right. I can't see them pulling off the same magic since Oliver won't be having flashbacks at that point unless they end up stretching the flashbacks to last longer.

CW will totally push for more than five season. It's one of their biggest shows and just like Supernatural they'll bring in a new show runner if need be.

10 or more season depend on Amell.....he says he do not want to continue after age of 40.........I say that 7 season should be the max. The last two season could jump ahead in order to see an older Connor hawk in his late teen (19-20 range)

I can't see them pushing this show for 10 seasons. I like the idea of taking breaks and doing all crossover seasons. Like a crisis season or a Justice League season. I just can't see that many more compelling Arrow stories after this (which is already waning).

There is no way the show is ending in 2 years unless the rains plunge hard. Not to mention i doubt Amell will refuse to extend his contract once it's up. Job security is s nice thing, especially when you have a family.

When did he say that? He always struck me as a Hugh Jackman type. He loves the gig, and will do it as long as he's reasonably able.

I don't think they've been doing one year per flashback story. I could be wrong, but I did not get the impression the first two seasons of flashbacks on the island were two years on the island.

I don't know if this was mentioned, but when I rewatching the last episode with my girlfriend, u noticed that the DJ kid had a similar looking necklace to the one Malcolm has in his Dark Archer attire. I think it definitely has some importance in the League and I almost wonder if it is related to the Lazarus Pit, like maybe something that works to heal wounds instantly.
