Marc Guggenheim talks about the possibility of John Constantine appearing

“Arrow” showrunner Marc Guggenheim admitted that “there’s a lot of desire on everyone’s part” to bring the character into the shared DC TV universe he created with Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti, telling Variety, “It would be wonderful and we certainly have a million ideas — it’s hard for me to say mainly because A: it’s not my decision to make and B: with ‘Constantine’ being shopped around to other networks… it’s really hard to make plans when a show’s kind of in limbo.”

While John Constantine would arguably be a natural addition to the “Arrow” universe given the comic book character’s familiarity with supernatural phenomena, Guggenheim cautioned that, “a lot of the pieces are in place, except for that one final piece, which is what’s the fate of ‘Constantine’? That’s the tricky thing. But it comes up in the writers’ room constantly — we have a number of ideas, one idea that’s particularly exciting to me. We’re in a little bit of a wait-and-see mode, like you guys are.”

EDIT: Luis beat me to it.

No Marc! No bad dramatics between John and Zed! Bad Marc! Bad boy! Bad! Go sit in the corner!

I feel if it is written well, which is what the problem with Olicity has been, it could work. I always imagined them as two people who drifted apart and reconnected years later based on what they learned. Laurel was alreay supposed to have her own relationship arc, which would have kept her busy, but I think the way that she challenges Oliver on things is typical for their comic book relationship, and its an interesting dynamic for their relationship.

The biggest thing I see standing in their way is that they've never quite been like Lois and Clark, and even now in the New 52, they're not together. So they may not be endgame. But I would like at least hints to them being together. It doesn't have to be a full romance, but more of the series ending with them going out on a date together.

There just isn't the chemistry with Amell and Cassidy to make it work IMO, they are best off as they are. In fact the show could benefit from just letting Oliver be happy with Felicity and start showing some humour, rather than creating more break-ups and hook-ups.

Felicity's going to be all over John like she is with every new hero. :o

But that's exactly why we hate Olicity, it destroyed the character. I love how there's a simmering antagonism between Laurel and Oliver but they're friends at the end of the day. It's almost like the dynamic between Batman and Superman.

I have always been interested to see how they would do without the tension that they had to bring constantly in S1/2. Amell/Cassidy have chemistry off screen, but unlike the start of his romance with Felicity, Lauriver started out beyond tense and weren't allowed to have that many, if any, light hearted moments.

I'll never get how it supposedly destroyed anything because Felicity started being a real person with real emotions instead of a geek girl one liner cypher.

good job.

I like the way everyone's assuming it's an animated movie. :D Nice to see him getting a steady stream of work.

DC Sneak Peek: Green Arrow (2015-) #1
The series takes a more macabre tone, as Oliver Queen faces off against a murderous trucker in Alaska before he is called home by his half-sister Emiko (from the Jeff Lemire run) to help her save Seattle from nefarious forces.

Find out in this ALL-NEW 8-page preview and follow the adventures of the Emerald Archer in GREEN ARROW #41.

I hope someday Greg Weisman or Gail simone gets the chance to write an episode.

Someone said it best here a few days ago. They had good chemistry, but Felicity has the same amount of chemistry, if not more, with Barry and Ray, and those pairings made much more sense.

I always felt like Oliver would never fall for Felicity because she was too normal, and in some twisted way, he thought she deserved better, while he also had someone like Sara who was as messed up as him. Felicity would see this and then move on to a better match for her, even though you can't blame a girl like her from falling for someone as like Oliver Queen. But they've basically tried to make Felicity rise in power so she can match him and it feels so wrong.

Yeah. I always thought they would probably have sex or whatever at some point. But the romance feels forced, imho.

Also, I edited part of my post because it felt like I was calling fire117 a tumblr shipper. My bad, that wasn't polite.

I honestly think there were better ways to develop her character (beyond the geek one liner cypher). I feel like her whole arc is basically about being in love with Oliver and nothing else.

I think they should have ran more with some inner conflict rather than relationships. She was set up as a pacifist, it could be interesting to explore that in relation to her being involved in something very violent, even if she isn't doing it herself. But that character trait was pretty much just dropped, unfortunately. I thought it could have been interesting.

I would like to see arrow animated series that is between season for 4 to 6 episode....I guess Vixen animated series is the closest thing we get

Are these actually pages from issue 41?

I personally don't feel it's as black and white as that but regardless, at this point I think putting them together and having some fun would benefit the show a lot in season 4, let someone else have the romantic drama if there is to be one.

Man this looks awesome, back to the Lemire tone and with a really cool looking first issue for the new creative team.

Not bad, like to see where it goes.

Please just let Laurel be a kick ass Canary next season, maybe with one date that runs in the background, nothing major, but not with Oliver.

If they want to have them togheter, do it after season five, so it's been a really long time after the whole Sara coming back, hooking up with Oliver, spliting, dying and all the drama with Felicity. Oliver and Laurel would've been through a lot as friends and crime fighter partners, then maybe start developing something but a really slow build.
