We've been keeping you updated about the possibility of Arrow star showing up to wrestle Stardust at this year's WWE SummerSlam for a while now, and while the build up to that match seemed to be ticking along quite nicely, it sounds like the idea has now been scrapped by the company.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio's Dave Meltzer, a bout between the two was being planned, but has now been called off. A reason wasn't given, but you have to imagine that it has something to do with the recent death of Stardust's (a.k.a. Cody Rhodes) father, Dusty Rhodes.

Everyone congratulate @JamesBamford!! He'll be making his directorial debut for #Arrow in Episode 4.07 -- WELL DESERVED!!!
Hopefully him being in the director's chair means we'll get some pretty impressive action set-pieces. I still really hope they watched Daredevil and felt the need to up their action game this season.

**** Daredevil, after watching the Raid and Raid 2 they should of felt like upping their action game.

So according to David Ramsey Felicity's dad will be a major recurring character next season.

Really hope they didn't go the really lazy and lame way and make Damien Darhk her father. Let him be someone that works for Darhk in H.I.V.E.

Him being Felicity's Dad just wouldn't make sense from a logic stand-point. If he's a super secretive master criminal, why would he stop in Vegas, knock up a waitress, and stick around long enough for them to get to know him before bailing again. Especially when someone like R'as Al Ghul is after him.

I think Felicity's Dad will be a criminal that works for him, and is torn between that alliance and his own blood. Kind of like Maseo.

It's actually really annoying how many of the Twitter fandom seem to be running with the idea of Damien Darhk being her father as if it's a done deal. I really, really, really hope the writers don't get influenced by that s***. A romantic relationship like Olicity is one thing (annoying as it may be), but making what very much sounds like two separate characters into one? Don't pull that nonsense with me.

That's been the rumor and belief for quite some time.

Felicity father is a criminal but he is probably not Darkh since it already been done twice already Moria Queen as a bad parent since she involve in the conspiracy in the Glades kinda of Malcolm and Ra's as evil father....no need to repeat again

There no way darkh and Felicity father is the same person since Darkh has been around since the early 20th century so it would be strange to meet Felicity mother. Plus the evil father has been done twice.......

I don't think they'd go so far as to introduce concepts on suggestion of the fans. Directions for characters that can wiggle within their overall plan maybe. But I don't think they'd introduce a whole season-long villain based on Twitter suggestions.

Unless Twitter suggestions will get Onomatopoeia on the show. In that case, I'm off to Twitter.

I read somewhere that Onomatopoeia could still show up but is he a complicated character that don't talk at all

if they adapt Onomatopoeia it could be three part story arc where he causes trouble for SC citizens. Something like the Brick arc

I don't want him going after anyone that isn't team Arrow. Ollie's working a completely separate case, he keeps popping up and attacking him. Once he realizes they're an even match, he goes after Canary or Speedy or Diggle to gain the upper hand. No city-wide threat, no bombs, keep it personal.

From what I heard, Darhk had part of the lazarus piut with him, and was could be able to keep himself looking as young as he did when he hooked up with Felicity's mom.

The idea was you bring in this young tech villain to rival Felicity so that the main villain could be someone she could compete against, while also giving her some emotion ties to make it more meaningful.

I know they said darkh is the big bad but they could shake it up and show that someone else become the real villain of the season. Darkh is just a puppert for someone agenda

Slade's wife needs to be in the HIVE mix. Maybe she can be the one calling the shots.

Guggenheim said they did have plans for Slade should Manu be available. Maybe they'll use Slade's son as leverage, like Deathstroke's first appearance in the comics.

I wouldn't recommend they do anything with Slade, at least not for a while. Yes, while Manu portrayed him the best he could and serum Slade had some epic fight sequences, they never really aced writing the Slade character on this show. Post serum? He gets handled by a twig, who no one takes seriously, in a fight that last's maybe a minute? The whole being haunted and messed up by a woman was really stupid. And if i remember correctly Manu even went on record stating he also felt the writers went in the wrong direction with the character. Would they just reverse (retcon) the whole schizophrenic arc the character went thru? Which wouldn't be surprising considering the writers appear to be lazy as of late. We definitely need to see a proper Deathstroke. If this show doesn't want to do that then just let the Titans series on TNT do the character justice.

I do wonder if HIVE should have been the criminal organization in season 2 since two members associated member Brother blood and Slade Wilson plus Arrow version of Ravanger
