According to guggenheim, Oliver's kid on the show isn't Connor because the mom is white and Connor is mixed-race in the comics.

Bravo Arrow, one of your few non-forced and organic storylines and they manage to mess that up.

To be fair, Connor didn't come along till fairly recently, but if that's true, he should be yelling at his casting department.

Oh of course, he's seen everything before, but it just conveniently didn't come up.

Jeri recently appeared on Syfy's "Helix" and TNT's "Major Crimes."

Season 4 of "Arrow," which stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Arrow, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance, Paul Blackthorne as Quentin Lance and John Barrowman as Malcolm Merlyn (the new Ra's al Ghul), is currently in production in Vancouver.

Does it really matter why they have to follow the comic? I guess people just going to keep complain about XX casting and that will never stop

I feel like you know someone who's involved with the series, and that prevents you from criticizing it in any way.

Or...he's Guggenheim?

Oliver has 2 years to master russian, fly a plane, master multiple fighting skills like judo and all that, use bow and arrow as his signature weapon, knowledge of technology and hacking and his motive for returning to Starling

Which would be a hell of a lot easier if he spent more than ten minutes working for ARGUS. . .

I'm surprised how much they actually messed up. They had at least five seasons in mind from the start. So even if all the Episodes weren't written, at the very least they must have had a rough outline of when and where Oliver would learn all of his new skills during these 5 years. But now with 3 years already over, Ollie doesn't seem to have even reached the half way point of his journey, to become the incredibly, ass kicking vigilante.

It could be they just aren't that good, and never were. OTOH, it could also be WB execs sending down various orders and embargoes, which have thrown their plans out the window repeatedly.

That was a HUGE missed opportunity.

I think he's saying that, if Guggenheim's original intention was for Oliver's child to be Connor, but he had to change those plans because of the race of the actress who was cast as Oliver's baby mama, then he should have a word with the casting department.

He really doesn't.

Right now, he's just a slightly less frightened (but admittedly more skilled) version of the young man who washed up on Lian Yu. I see almost no hints of the borderline sociopath we were introduced to in season one.

I guessing his sociopath traits in season 1 would come from his day spent in Russia Mafia being an killer for them using a bow and arrow.

Do you think that Oliver really need to go to Russia just need to known russian and become a captain and a assassin for them?

So if it only took a year or two for him to become the person we met in season one, why are we being subjected to five years of flashbacks?

And yes, I would imagine that becoming a leader in the Russian mafia would necessitate going to Russia at some point.

Episode 2 titled [BLACKOUT]"The Candidate"[/BLACKOUT].

Very excited to welcome @JeriLRyan and @JimmyAkingbola AND @iamjrbourne to #ArrowSeason4! Can't wait for you to see what's in store...
Huh. Wonder who JR Bourne is playing.

I remember reading Jeri Ryan's character is supposed to have a daughter who'll be important this season and somehow affect Oliver.
