"Everyone?"

Affleck's Batman has received a ton of praise. People loved Gadot's Wonder Woman as well. And that's just to start.

Affleck's acting received praise, not their characterisation of Batman (which was a bastardisation of Batman's character and what he stands for). With the right script, I think he could be great though. Gal received praise for some action scenes and being badass, basically, the type of stuff that Snyder fans love. Lets see how she does when she has to do more acting, as she certainly wasn't great in the scenes where she had to talk.

is it just me or are there 2 more guys behind oliver !?

one looks like diggle's helmet ... the other appears to have a hood, like the green arrow suit ...

maybe diggle and ragman !?

All the costumes look pretty good (nice adaptions of their comic looks). Am I to take it that Curtis gets a pretty serious haircut, then?

rrIf he is going to look like the comic book version of Mr. Terrific then yes.

In addition to his costume, Oliver's new bow looks really cool.

Wild Dog looks like he stepped off the comics page. Kudos to the custome department.

:)

Curious how they'll handle the T mask on terrific.
Silicone appliance hopefully.

So it'll move with his face.

Felicity will explore new territory in ‘Arrow’ season Five:

http://heroichollywood.com/felicity-will-explore-new-territory-arrow-season-five/

It looks as if Felicity’s story will be exploring new territory in the fifth season, as it switches gears from her love life (Oliver) and her family life, over to her growth as a character. While speaking with EW, Arrow EP Marc Guggenheim talked Felicity in season five and how they were going to have her do something “key”, unlike anything she has done before. It apparently does not involve either Oliver nor her parents.

“We’re positioning her to do something in the second half of the year that is really, really key, and that isn’t about her relationship with Oliver or even necessarily her father or her mother. It’s really new territory for her, and we’ve very excited about it. Some big things are going to happen with Felicity.”

Manu's character didn't receive any praise for how he was written either, as stupid as Batfleck was this Deathstroke was even stupider. Had BvS been a good movie then people would have been more forgiving of BatFleck(remember Burton?). Similarly if Manu's Slade had been the season 4 villain people wouldn't have cared about him either, all the other problems of the show would have drowned his character, that's what happened with Affleck.

So I dont understand how getting rid of characters with years of development and replacing them with new ones will make the show any better.

Of course they did. People loved his lines and how he was toying with Oliver. People's main problem was his motivation.

People loved Batfleck's lines too, Deathstroke's entire arc was built around his motivation, therefore massive writing deficiencies, also remember telling Laurel about Oliver's secret? yeah that's also a writing problem or the cure that showed up out of nowhere, I love how Ivo created a cure for something he was still searching for, his feelings for Shado also came out of nowhere. The character like Batfleck was just not written well at all. They looked cool, acted cool and had swagger which is why fans like them.

No denying people enjoyed Batfleck. I did too, but his characterisation was bad. It is far from a definitive Batman. Manu's Slade will be definitive for plenty of people and will be hard to top. Along with RF, he is seen by many as this universes best villain.

His feelings for Shado did come out of nowhere, but lots of other stuff was handled well. His relationship with Oliver was great, both as friends and enemies, despite what caused the fall-out. Also, the way him and Oliver were both victims and survivors of the island, with them both coming out of it very differently, both to each other and what they were before.

Blood: "Sooner or later, we all go through a crucible. I'm guessing yours was that island. Most believe there are two types of people who go into a crucible. The ones who become stronger from the experience and survive it, and the ones who die. But there's a third type. The ones who learn to love the fire and choose to stay in their crucible because it's easier to embrace the pain when it's all you know anymore."

With Oliver, of course being the first type, and Slade being the third type.

He was shown to be a very intelligent character too, with him planting of Rochev (his Terra), him placing cameras around Oliver's mansion to spy on him (like he had Terra spy on the Titans with camera lenses). Him causing friction between Oliver and his family and team. The way he took Oliver's company from him and then killed his mother in front of him. He was very calculating and diabolical and he took almost everything from Oliver (only Merlyn caused more damage to Oliver). He also came very close to destroying the entire city. Despite his villainy, there were and are still people who feel sorry for the character and want him to be given a chance to redeem himself. There is a tragedy to the character, as we saw on the island that he had heroic traits and was loyal, in how he risked himself to save Oliver from Fryer's. He developed over the two years and was a character that showed different sides. He was far more than just a cool character with swagger.

So, seeing those set pics, I can't help envisioning Mr Terrific going "What did I do to deserve being here?"

I expect the whole "training new vigilantes" thing to be an *epic* disaster, but hopefully that will be intentional. If I had to guess, Mr Terrific turns out fine ( because he's already got the talents to be a skilled and ethical vigilante, he just needs dojo and drill time ), Mad Dog turns into a psychopathic murderer, and Artemis is somewhere in between.

Aw man. Why are they ditching the costume from season 4?

Aw man. Why are they ditching the costume from season 4?

Because it was ****. :p

Main thing I didn't like was the leather hood.
It looked better in previous seasons when it was a different material than the rest of the suit.

It's basically the same costume, it just has sleeves. If we're being honest, my favorite Green Arrow costume we've seen in the CWverse is the one on LOT. Both Connor's and Oliver's, TBH. And Oliver's in LOT is very similar to the S5 outfit, so I approve.
