Sisco and Felicity are honestly two of the most annoying characters in the history of TV... They drag down both of those shows to the point that I'm not sure if I'm going to watch the upcoming seasons.

If Laurel really is coming back but won't be a regular, maybe this is paving the way for her to set off on her own to be Black Canary in some other city. Maybe she'll be recurring on Flash and Arrow, like whenever one of them needs help taking down a more difficult baddie, they call on her, or something.

They would probably just call Supergirl. That is what they are doing in the cross-over.

Batting around flying balls was, but Oliver trying to act gruff and Kara giggling and laughing with Barry trying not to smile at them made it worth it.

Like I said in the episode thread, my biggest take way was that it was a regression for many of the characters. Everyone is kinda back to where they were in season one. I don't know if that is going to be satisfying for me or not.

Awesome episode 1. Best since season 2. I even enjoyed felocity (who I hated the last 2 seasons). I hope they can keep up the pace. Was hesitant arrow having new team members but maybe since the season is so long it won't be bad after all. I enjoy watching speedy in these sexy dresses than her vigilante outfit anyhow. I think this season could be special. Can't be any worse than last season.

While I'm reluctant to get excited just now, I believe they can put this back on track. Story-wise at least, they seem to be hitting the right buttons: the flash-backs seems interesting again (and hopefully the Russia plot doesn't get too dragged out, Oliver has to go back to the Island and put himself in a position where he can become S1 Ollie so they've got a good endpoint to exploit) sparing Church to give him a mini-arc/secondary arc was another right decision (unlike S4 where putting all your eggs in the Dahrk basket eventually drained that story of any momentum it could ever have).

There is absolutely zero chance this is the show's last season.

1. the main cast is signed for seven seasons

2. the show has a per-episode payment from Netflix and a brand new syndication deal on TNT, to say nothing of international sales and DVD/Blu Ray/digital sales. All of those factors mean there is a ton of financial incentive to keep ordering new seasons.

3. even hitting a series low 0.7 rating for Arrow is still going to be better than any other non-DC show on the network. The only thing even in the neighborhood would be the ageless Supernatural.

4. the producers have explicitly stated that this will be the last season of flashbacks... to make that distinction implies a plan of doing further seasons without flashbacks

Unless something horrible happens to one of the main cast or producers (of course we all hope nothing does), this show is going seven seasons minimum. Probably more, looking at how far they've dragged out similarly successful shows (Smallville, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries).

I'll say this, the show felt great, a return to form, but the best thing about it was that Oliver and Felicity has a great relationship without any forced romance or tension. They were individuals working together.

But the second they decide to bring that back, the show will more than likely suffer once more.

Arrow I see so much more enjoyable without a team. One sidekick is ok but too many take away from the performance. It would be fun for arrow to run into other vigilantes slowly where maybe they form a team at the end of the season but I think they will rush a team arrow which I'm not sure is good. Episode 1 this season was amazing. Reminded me why It use to be my favorite.

I don't mind the batman copying because it works and is fun to watch. Too many characters take away from that. Let us fall in love for a chRCter slowly rather than just force feed them to us. I think this will bea good season but they have to be smart.

I remember some time ago Amell was talking about how they were filming "the best one take fight scene on tv." I'm assuming he was talking about that fight in the beginning? If so, it was pretty good and a marked improvement in choreography but not Amell was hyping it to be.

Yeah, it was good, but my thought was "I hope they can keep this up" not "that's the best I've ever seen."

I'll be generous and not count Netflix as television. That being said some of Kevin Tancharoen's directed episodes in Agents of SHIELD had fight scenes that match it. This is certainly up there, but it isn't clearly the best (by network TV standards), which is what I was hoping for.
