Arrow Arrow General Discussion Thread - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Part 28

One problem I have is that the show will never catch up to the FF and it doesn't effect the characters in the present since it's so far in the future so it might as well be it's own show.

Showrunner Beth Schwartz on the flash forwards.
We're kind of breaking two shows. We have a whole separate mythology for the flash forwards and we have a lot of new characters and that's why it feels so fresh; we're doing two shows in one."

If it was an interesting story line, then I could see them splitting their attentions. In the meantime, I sure hope the main story doesn't suffer because of it.

Well I’m not trying to change other people’s opinion lol. I like the flash forwards and other people don’t but I can respect your guys opinion on them.

I don't see the point of the flash forwards; Arrow probably only has another season it in, and without the actual Green Arrow (Ollie) the show (I think) would struggle to continue.

It's not as if they can just pick up an entire season from the flash forward perspective and with the new characters, because it then becomes disassociated from the other shows (except maybe Legends cause of time travel).

It's an odd route they've chosen to go with here.

This is only assuming that Oliver is actually on the way out. The foreshadowing is there, yes, but it is not a guarantee. They may be preparing for a major plot twist that leaves Oliver alive and well, with someone else making a sacrifice or with his deal not involving his death. We can't be sure yet. If Oliver sticks around, I feel like we could have more than one more season.

I can't think who else would be worth the sacrifice though, that's the thing. We know it wont be Barry or Kara, and anyone else (of Team Arrow) just isn't going to make it felt. It'll be interesting for sure where the Crisis event takes us, and what the fallout is. Shame we've got to wait so long.

If Oliver goes, then I hope either he just rides off into the sunset with Felicity, or Felicity dies at the same time as him. It will be unpalatable to have to watch Felicity try to act out her grief if Oliver dies. We'll have to be subjected to her melodramatic performance with her quivering voice.

They aren't going to kill him off in the middle of the season

The last episode of ARROW should be Ollie taking a road trip with Hal Jordan.

Yeah, see, this is what I have been thinking, too.
Ah, but wouldn't that be a shock to the system if they did; nobody would be remotely expecting something so drastic. Something's gotta' give in Crisis though, someone's' gotta go.

The Lantern Corps alongside Batman are the two core aspects of DC that I don't think we're going to see within the Arrowverse anytime soon. That said, if JWS's Barry Allen can make a reappearance, he at least knows a John Stewart who is a Green Lantern, so...

Episode 13 trailer looks like Dinah got her throat slit. I’m terrible at screeenshots and posting photos but peep the promo. Half way through.

Rumour has it that Carlos is leaving Flash next season, and we've just lost Curtis too? Who's leaving Legends, Supergirl and Black Lightning?

Is Arrow not on this week? And if so, why? I know Flash is taking a break.
