Sorry, but when Diggle's date ended badly, and the scene transitioned to Oliver and his date, I thought I was looking at the same girl.

So Harper was lying to Lance about the whole Vertigo thing? Shame, they could have had a nice set up for him eventually becoming Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow whatever there.

That's presumably what they're going for.

After he told Thea not to fall for every sob story, I was fully expecting them to show a scene of him taking care of his addicted mom after all.

I'm really loving the way Ollie, Diggle and Felicity are interacting. Ollie and Diggle weren't bad at all alone, but Felicity really added a lot to the cave scenes. Plus, Oliver explaining how he usually does things was priceless. I'm thinking she's the reason he'll stop killing.

Yeah I really like how Felicity is nudging him to be more of a hero.

Yep, and he actually listens to Felicity without much argument. The dynamic in the team is definitely more interesting with the three of them. Wonder what happens when Ollie decides to take on Roy as his protege though?

I don't think he was lying, felt more like he was just telling her not to be so gullible and believe everything she hears.

I don't think it was the sob story that got her

Hopefully he wasn't lying. I'd like to see him go after the Count himself once he's back on the streets, and have him run into Oliver as Arrow.

He's probably the one who used Vertigo, not his mother.

Hall and Digs sister look exactly the same. Not a bad thing cause their hot.

Felicity DOES bring a lot to the cave scenes. It feels complete now. She also brings more to the show, and she's sweet eye candy. That dress mmmhmm.

Roy Harper seems okay so far, I liked that he has a sense of honor sort of, and that he can parkour. Literally CANNOT wait until Roy meet Ollie.

The inverted shot of Ollie getting on the bike was badass. Sick cinematography.

What makes you so certain that's what they have in store for the character?

They've introduced quite a number of characters. I hope they start to flesh them out.

Actually I like this new approach. Usually shows introduce a few characters and build an entire season around them and then move onto a new enemy or ally each additional season.

This series is not only following the Smallville (just to name an example) formula of introducing antagonists each episode and resolving the conflict by the end of the show, but is also introducing characters but leaving things opened for them to return or expand upon in following episodes.

This keeps the show fresh and moving IMO and I'm enjoying this formula. I mean we have really received a lot of characters thus far good & bad and I honestly do not feel overwhelmed or that the show is crowded.

I don't think the show is crowded either. It's expanding but it's not really moving. I'm ready for some character development and consequences.

I don't know...because it makes sense. We have no reason to believe they won't so until that it's clear he won't be hooding up I'm going under the assumption he'll become Red Arrow.

On the flip side, it does tie the show down and potentially restricts them further down the line should the actors be unavailable or choose not to reprise their role in future episodes/seasons.

Well, the same could be said about Thea when she was first introduced (rhymes with Mia, nicknamed Speedy, has archery skills...). The main evidence in favour of Roy Harper getting involved in Oliver's activities is that the show didn't have to introduce that specific character/name yet they chose to. But again, similar hints were dropped for Thea too and that doesn't look like it's coming to fruition anytime soon.

But in the event that they do, I suspect he - like Oliver - probably won't go by a specific "code name". But in the event he does, it would probably be "Arsenal" so as not to mix him and Oliver up (since the latter is (Green) Arrow).

And while we're in the realm of over-speculation, if Roy Harper becomes Arsenal and continues to be Thea's s/o, might this mean the possibility of Thea becoming Cheshire could be in the books? Willa Holland's smile always reminded me of a cat for some reason.

Don't remember that. When did they show this?

In the pilot. She had an archery trophy in her room (meaning, she is by definition a champion archer). I too didn't notice until rewatching after someone else told me.

show follows more of a supernatural approach to it's characters imo

This is probably old, but it's the first time I've seen it. :funny:
