Arrow Arrow General Discussion Thread - Part 4

The island parts usually always seem better. I'm not sure why, but it feels completely different than the modern day scenes, like the actors, and writing are the best when it's focused on the island time. This last weeks episode was the best in part because it was mostly all set on the island.

Clearly the directors and writing staff could make a damn good action-thriller show if they wanted to, but it also seems like WB/CW shows have to come with a "pretty white people with problems" subplot all the time. The fact that so many of the episodes have turned away from the action-thriller aspects to peak in on Laurel and Tommy on a date that has nothing to do with anything going on in the story other than these 2 people have socialized with Ollie at one point or another totally lags the show down.

Okay I like Arrow, but it's not enough that they have basically copied the Nolan formula, but now they are taking actors from The Dark Knight lmao

First episode of the season I didn't care for. Everything was just uninteresting minus the Island stuff, and there was barely any of that.

This was just okay. Basically just an introduction ep for the new characters to the back half of the season and get the C storyline of Digg and his sister-in-law up to speed.

Nothing wrong. Just nothing exciting.

I did love Det. Lance jabbing him by putting her on the Hood case.

Agreed, hoped Dodge was better

I didn't know that Nolan signed exclusive contracts with the actors he uses. :o

Yea Deadshot will be cooler this time around hoepfully

Who?

The Asian consultant I think....

I didn't know that Nolan signed exclusive contracts with the actors he uses. :o

It was a joke....which is emphasized by the fact that this show has been compared to Nolan's Batman series since day one and has utilized many themes and concepts which made the Nolan Batman series successful

That Asian friend of Moira was not the same actor from TDK aka Chinese Investor who Joker lit on fire.

Are you sure? He looks like him....and no I'm not one of those people that think all asians look alike.

Chin Han "Mr Lau" in TDK.

Was it him or not?

Yes it was him. I know this for face (along with other fans I'm sure).

Oh, how I hope that Roy Harper has a yellow baseball cap to go with that stylin' red hoodie.

Harper's going to be played by the jock from Teen Wolf, isnt he? I liked Teen Wolf, even though I know it may not have been everyones cup of tea.

I'm really loving the way Ollie, Diggle and Felicity are interacting. Ollie and Diggle weren't bad at all alone, but Felicity really added a lot to the cave scenes. Plus, Oliver explaining how he usually does things was priceless. I'm thinking she's the reason he'll stop killing.

Naw, I enjoyed teen wolf too. The main hunter girl was cute with her very pale skin lol. The show had a nice case though typical of the MTV, WB/CW variety.

In fact MTV has quite a few nice shows.

And BOOM! I told ya'll that was dude from TDK:exp:

It would be funny if the Count ended up burning Lau on a pile on money as well :funny:

So Harper was lying to Lance about the whole Vertigo thing? Shame, they could have had a nice set up for him eventually becoming Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow whatever there.

Does anybody else think that Detective Hall and Diggle's sister-in-law kind of look alike?
