I hope all these island flashbacks will pay off as the characters involved should be brought in for the present day. I'd like to see Oliver evolve in the present day more so than in the flashbacks.

With Dark Archer confronting Moira, it looks like Malcolm knows who the traitor is.

Given the part where she said she'd do anything to protect her children, I get the feeling that she's going to betray that Asian guy from TDK to allay suspicion. That, or she does something else that's really stupid.

Arrow Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg on Whether Malcolm Merlyn's Origin is Tied to Ra’s Al Ghul
Was Merlyn talking about who we think he was?
by Eric Goldman MARCH 11, 2013

DC Comics fans watching Arrow a couple of weeks back did a double take when Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), revealing a bit of his history, mentioned he’d traveled to Nanda Parbat, where he met a man who gave his life purpose.

As DC fans know, Nanda Parbat is important as a location tied into the history of Ra's Al Ghul. So could that be the man Merlyn was referring to? And could Ra's Al Ghul himself appear on Arrow?

I spoke to Arrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg this past weekend, as the show was honored at PaleyFest. When I asked him about the use of Nanda Parbat on the show, he joked, “I thought we made that up!,” before adding, “There will be slightly more elaboration on that.” He then laughed as he remarked, “There’s probably a name that people want to hear mentioned that I’m not sure, legally, we can mention!”

DC/Warner Bros. have been notoriously restrictive on incorporating elements of Batman into their other live action projects in the past decade, nixing Bruce Wayne from ever appearing on Smallville. But as Kreisberg noted, the connection was natural, since, “In the DC Comics, Merlyn was a member of the League of Assassins, which was created by Ra’s Al Ghul.”

But as to whether Ra's Al Ghul himself -- famously previously played by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins -- could be a factor on Arrow, he said, “Some of that is going to be based on what we’re allowed to say. But those little Easter Eggs… We think that stuff works best when it flies over the heads of people who don’t know DC Comics and they don’t care, and it makes people like you and me go, ‘Yes! Yes!’ So we’ll see moving forward. But our intention is Merlyn is the Merlyn from the comics and we’ll see… They’ll definitely be more homages to his character and where he came from coming up.”

Find out more about what the Arrow producers had to say at PaleyFest, including describing Malcolm Merlyn as "Evil Bruce Wayne”

If worse comes to worse, just give him a Ducard-esque alias, while making it perfectly clear that it is in fact Ra's Al Ghul.

Will we be seeing the "Green Team"? (Green Lantern and Green Arrow)

Will we be seeing the "Green Team"? (Green Lantern and Green Arrow)

Probably not, since there aren't any superpowers in this show.

Perhaps maybe a homage in the form of Hal Jordan (the human Air Force pilot) could show up for an episode, with him being a friend of Oliver's.

I think for this season the big thing will be tying in that missle launcher they showed on the island with Merlyn's plan for the glades.

OMG, is Sarah really alive on Arrow? — Mellie
NATALIE:
The Arrow writers are masterful magicians, because while we're all focused on that question, there's an even bigger reveal on the horizon. "Believe me when I tell you there is another bombshell that will really... shake Laurel down to her core," Marc Guggenheim says. But there is a chance of seeing Sarah again; the show will eventually flash back to before the Queen's Gambit sunk to reveal why Oliver brought that Lance sister along.

Colton Haynes has been upped to series regular for Season 2.

^ That may be interesting. I'm guessing as Oliver's love interest and Thea's protegé... Oh! I meant... Thea's love interest and Oliver's protegé?

Coz the former would be downright odd!

I'm glad that Roy Harper will be a series regular for the 2nd season as he will be Oliver's sidekick. This could also mean that some of the characters may be gone at the end of the first season. I wonder if this is a coincidence with Young Justice ending as well. I think 2nd season will be a lot better than the first.

Stephen Amell Adds "Arrow" To "Injustice" Roster

Posted: 8 hours ago

Steve Sunu, Staff Writer/Reviews Editor

NetherRealm Studios continues its road to the release of "Injustice: Gods Among Us," reaching out to a new segment of DC Comics fandom: fans of the CW's "Arrow." According to TV Guide, "Arrow" star Stephen Amell has lent his voice and likeness to a special unlockable costume for Green Arrow, which will change the "Injustice" version of the Emerald Archer to Amell's Hood character in the CW drama.

The TV Guide article seems to indicate that Amell isn't voicing the default version of Green Arrow, just the "Arrow" character skin. If that's the case, it's a bold move by both NetherRealm and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and a sign that the game hopes to appeal to every kind of DC fan. Bringing Amell on to voice an alternative version of the character is demonstrative of the time and attention to detail the developer has put into the game. Admittedly, Amell's Oliver Queen is a much darker and realistic take on the character and fits well in the "Injustice" universe, but the game has already revealed pre-order bonus downloadable content packs for major DC storylines, like "Red Son" and "Blackest Night" with the collector's edition of the game coming with New 52 costumes. It's possible there are more surprises still to come for the April-releasing game that will pay homage to even more sides of the DCU.

"Injustice: Gods Among Us" hits April 16 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.

Was hoping for his new 52 look but the Arrow costume looks pretty cool in the game.

Episode 21's Title is...

:eek::up:

I really hope future seasons of Arrow keep the same pace. At the pace the show is going, he could be fully integrated in the Justice League by Season 3. :awesome:

That would be amazing if he showed up in a JL movie.

This show along with Justice League Unlimited and Smallville aswell as the comic series Identity Crisis, have made me appreciate the character more. I've really gotten into him more as a comic book character than ever before. Green Arrow Year One was the first solo book I'd read with the character and I enjoyed that immensely. But so far The Longbow Hunters has been leagues ahead of that story (not a knock on GA Year One at all it's a personal favourite). Infact the way the book seems grounded in reality (much like the show) is what's drawn me in so much. I'm only about a quarter of the way through but I already feel this is one of the greatest graphic novels I've read.
