Nolan should probably have called Batman, "The Guy Who Dresses Up Like a Bat", and Snyder should have called Superman "The Guy Who Flies Around in a Cape".

It's the characters name, why are they adapting this material if they feel too cool for school or feel the material is beneath them to use the actual name. Calling the main character "The Hood Guy" is so much better.

A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet.

Summer Glau has joined the cast. Hawaii Five 0 is already on The Summer Glau Curse alert as it is (sighs)

The description said they have a video presentation. But they'll have been filming for probably a little over a week. So it might not be much. The panel will definitely be interesting though.

I'd be satisfied if the video was mostly concept art for the upcoming season.

Cool, I guess she'll be playing Lisa.

Deadline Hollywood says she will be playing somebody named Isabel Rochev. they probably just renamed the "Lisa" character.

SWEEEET. :D:up: The trend of great casting for the show continues.

Enjoy these new TV guide covers! Available at July 17th.

The in-costume shot looks good. The Oliver cover... less so. It looks like they photo shopped Amell's head from one pic onto a body shot from another.

So, Summer's coming, huh?

Last season for Arrow then, I presume.

The Hood looks awesome. The Oliver looks like Chandler Bing when he's trying to be sexy.

His name isn't The Hood Guy though. That's what some characters call him. If you watch a movie where someone gets called a jackass, you don't ask why their name is jackass, do you? He technically doesn't have a name yet. Which could be something, like most details of the show, being built up for later.

I think the producers said that they want Oliver to "earn" the name of "Green Arrow" since he's not technically a "hero" yet; at least, not the hero that he's meant to be.

Nolan's Batman and Snyder's Superman were different takes on the characters, but they were still valid ones. Both franchises got the basics right, but tried to do something new, which is fine. Changing certain details is fine, the comics do it all the time. Summer Glau us awesome, I think that she will manipulate Oliver when he's at his weakest (his failure to stop the undertaking).

Lets hope it doesn't take ten seasons like Smallville to get his name right.:whatever:

I don't see how they're the same thing. SV started with Clark Kent as a high schooler. Oliver is more or less fully-formed.

Do you think that Isabel is the mysterious woman who Fryers was working for on the island. We only saw her legs, so even her age is in question.

If the police and the media are going to be calling him the Hood, then that is his name within the show. And naming the hero isn't really something that needs to be built up to this degree, if characters have already christened him the Hood, then why not Green Arrow, or even just the Arrow?

It all goes back to the "Lame" moment when the name Green Arrow was dropped on the show, that just makes it all feel like the material is beneath the creators, and they are too cool for it all.
