I think this is why we are starting to see a shift towards super heroics...where Oliver may start to operate under his Green Arrow name and more superheroes are introduced.

Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are to blame for the lack of real heroes in that show.


They, idiotically, decreed that there were "No tights, No flights" ever in that show.

And in turn, that bled over to the other heroes that appeared in the show, and thus why none of them ever had their actual costumes. And instead, had suits that resembled the GA one of the show.

To be fair, they're were actual costumes in Smallville. Stargirl, the JSA, Green Arrow, Black Canary, etc all got costumes.

After watching the first season again on Netflix, i got to admit, its refreshing to see Amell grow as a actor throughout the series. The fact he does most if not all of his stunts is incredible. You can tell he's trained quite a bit in parkour and different fight styles. The fight choreography in this show imo has to be second to none on television.

Second season is off to a fantastic start, looking forward to seeing The Flash. Love Arrow

Ollie's suit doesn't really need to change, IMO. He just needs an actual mask. Maybe it'll happen later.

To be fair, a domino mask wouldn't do much more good than the paint. I actually dislike domino masks, they're useless and they look stupid. The GL move may have been rather poor, but they did have a funny joke about that. Carol Ferris figuring out Hal's identity IMMEDIATELY and being astounded that He thought that she wouldn't recognize him just because "she couldn't see his cheekbones."

I'd rather they go with a Zorro wrap around mask than a domino mask.

It's just less silly, than to think he constantly wipes his paint off, whenever he is not currently prowling the rooftops. There's was a specific moment, I can't remember what happened, I think it was when he learned the truth about his mother. In the first scene, he is in complete costume, face paint and all. Then he learns new information, and the next scene has him sitting in his hideout, sulking, with the face paint off. So he took his time to wipe his face perfectly clean, before he decided to just sit down, do nothing and sulk around?

Most of Ollie's vigilante budget goes towards Noxzema.

It's just selective believably.The thought that somehow face paint is in any way a more plausible disguise than an actual mask,is laughable.At least a mask can be put on or taken off reasonably quickly.

Well, at least Oliver's quiver has more than three arrows shown inside of it. I hated on how for Smallville's Green Arrow, he could only fit three arrows into his quiver, which was more of a hole/slot behind his vest because I had a hard time buying that he could be effective with his arrows while patrolling with just three arrows.

Agreed plus her hair grew longer post season 8 finale and looked more and more like comic Black Canary minus facepaint mask (I didn't have a problem with mask because in her first Dinah Lance and Black Canary looked almost like 2 different people)

But I agree most if not all the superhero costumes on Smallville were low budget but they were close in some cases if not almost exactly like their comic counterpart

But I agree I didn't understand Smallville Green Arrow quiver/hole/slot behind his vest*but I think he had extra arrows either on his arms or legs. But I honestly prefer Smallville Green Arrow costume but with elements of Stephen Amell Arrow costume would be the perfect live action Green Arrow costume imo.
