Someone mentioned that they thought the driver from the next epsidoe might be Sportsmaster (He's not, he's a pre-change Solomon Grundy), reading up more on him I could see him fitting in with Arrow's world.

Superheroes don't kill, period. They always find another way.(That's kinda what makes them "Super" Heroes.)I'm sure that's an old fashioned stance to have in this day and age where even Superman has blood on his hands. But I stand by it.

As a flesh and blood man you can't fight a war with killers and expect to not kill, not to mention that every time you do you leave the door open for more innocent people to die when it comes to certain villains.

Yeah they find another way, the lock up the bad guy. And then the bad guy escapes and kills even more people. How many people need to die unnecessarily before they decide that enough is enough? A no-killing code isn't moral if it means that hundreds or even thousands of people die who would have lived otherwise because the hero puts their own self-righteousness above all else. Not only is it not moral, it's selfish and cruel.

And he's Cheshire's Dad. And Cheshire is Roy's baby mama. So on, so forth.

Seeing Thea with the boxing gloves made me think of two things: arrow-gloves and Ted Grant.

I think that was a good way in setting up a future life as a vigilante for her (if they have that in mind for her). She can just say to Roy that she really liked punching him and he will go on and teach her som basic fighting skills.

Agreed. Superheroes aren't gods. I think that what makes them "superheroes" is that they dedicate their lives in order to help and protect those that can't fend for themselves while setting an good example for others to follow and be inspired by, but there are times where they have to make the tough calls and live with their decisions.

Going around and catching serial killers, only for those said serial killers to always find a way to escape and thus repeat the vicious cycle makes the person no more than a controller of chaos, imho, and not a hero.

I agree that heroes shouldn't aim to kill right away and should try to find another option, but only if there is one.

There's never been a formal announcement saying Arrow isn't connected to MOS. I wish they'd come out and say that they are/aren't so we can stop having this debate. It's dumb.

The only proof that we have that Arrow isn't connected is one throwaway line in one article in which you'd have to be paying super close attention to notice

If Nightwing does end up in the show, I have a feeling they may do the Huntress/Nightwing relationship. I was actually looking through my Nightwing graphic novels and totally forgot they had a thing. It seems like something they may explore in Arrow.

Not if they get the kid from vampire diaries for Nightwing

Most superheroes don't kill because really they're for kids. So, they're just people who have a means to help out and choose to do so without killing because that's simply their stance on it. If you don't agree with it, fine. But, that's their character.

What society, the authorities, and the law decides to do with the bad guys after their stopped/caught is not up the superheroes.

Well if your not a superhero if you kill, then my favourite 2 Heroes aren't, Ironman and green Arrow.

Its not connected Arrow Producer Greg Berlanti just confirmed it...Unfortunately

“We haven't had any of those conversations other than to say, what characters are we allowed to use this year and advocate or request certain ones that are of interest to us. And every now and then, they'll say, 'You can't have that guy.' They don't say why, and we figure out why later on.”

Could be but the ad says part 1. So I am taking it at face value for now. Tommy could appear at the end of ep 8. That would be a sort of cliffhanger between eps 8&9.

GreenArrowTv is sayings its from both episodes, so that's what I'm going by :).
I have a feeling these next 2 episodes will be the best yet(I'm shaking with excitement and its still 2 weeks away) :D

It's easy to SAY that your not going to kill. However, you have no idea what kind of extreme situations that you will find yourself in in the future. Sometimes, there is no other option. There are times when killing is the RIGHT and MORAL thing to do. American comic books seem to be the only ones who don't get this fact. Manga gets it, European comics get it, etc.

Which is kind of ironic since the US has the death penalty, but I digress.

Superman, Batman, Green Arrow and others have killed before, nothing new:

Like in real life, when the police, normal people have to kill to save lives. Reality is not black or white, comic book characters should be the same, that's why Arrow is a great show.
