I find it odd that Ivo keeps saying that it will save the human race. Save us from what? Superpowered Aliens perhaps? What does he know?

Old age, decease and death I guess. He really hates the concept of dying.

I think she's just exhibiting a classic case of Stockholm-Syndrom. Working a year with the Doc, captive, yet being kept safe from the rest of the crew, she might have developed a level of empathy for him.

Ratings came in, it scored a 0,9 demo rating with 2.53 millions viewers. I think it will adjust upto a 1 though. This show deserves way more IMO.

She's also only 20 at that time. 19 when she got pulled out of the water by a bunch of pirates and a mad scientist. It's not like you learn what to do in those situations at school.

She's alive and apparently can give orders to the crew. I'd say that's pretty impressive. Plus I think she's been brainwashed by Ivo into believing in whatever he wants to do.

Detective Lance, or clandestine 'seed planting' by Felicity. It's not that hard to fathom.

Yeah I get that but honestly I thought she came across naive and stupid even when she was on boat with Ollie cheating on her sister.

As someone said, Ollie was naive and stupid back then too.

As for "you have failed this city", it's still the best line in the show, but perhaps should be reserved for big bads now!

"brother Blood, you have failed this city" = has to happen!

I think the fact that both Ollie and Sara were selfish and naive pre island/freighter is to show us how much they changed in 5/6 years to become the badasses they are now.

I'll give this show credit where it's due. The producers are very responsive to their audience.

The audience complains about the Laurel character. They bring in Sara as Canary instead.

The audience loves the Felicity character. They give Felicity much more screentime.

The audience complains about the Thea character. They completely retool the Thea character for s2.

The audience complains about the weekly shirtlessness, especially after that embarrassing DVD cover. The Arrow producers tone it down big time for s2.

The audience complains that he's called 'The Hood.' They change it up to 'The Arrow' in s2.

I love that Amell and the producers are well connected to the online fanbase and are aware of these things. Makes me feel bad for Katie Cassidy though who is the recipient of so much hatred. Ah well.

I haven't been involved in the Arrow forum as of yet, but have been an avid watcher of the show - really like it. One little gripe - did anyone else have an issue with Deadshot in last week's episode? The red eye piece was just too goofy for my taste. I mean his eye piece has always been an issue for me whenever he's in an episode, but it just made me laugh last time.

How did Detective Lance get that name out there to the media so fast? He doesn't control the media nor is he a public figure that would get the media's attention to that point.

Yeah apparently he's been doing a bit of tweeting the last days but I don't think anything has been confirmed.

But even then, why would hate overwrite the "Hood" name so fast? We've just had an entire group of copycats calling themselves "the Hoods" not too long ago.
