Deathstroke: Who is there?
Boomerang: You do not remember me, old friend?
Deathstroke: Ashur! You ****!!
Boomerang: Hello, Crixus!

Throw in Nyssa and Amanda Waller and you have a Spartacus reunion! :oldrazz:

Damn Right... that was a really great show and they were really great actors. If they use them wisely like the used Mannu Bennet/Slade, you will have a great show...

Ashur could have been a VERY good adversary for Arrow as arrow is a tactician and Ashur was emotional tactician. They could have measured forces equally with completely different perspective. They should have given him the whole season arc.

It's your opinion, and your entitled to it,but damn- I knew you were the only one who was going to be completely disappointed that Lyla survived.:lmao:

I expressed indifference, not disappointment.

And I'll say as I said before: I'd say Flash's first season is better than Arrow's first season. It's also better than Arrow this season. But it's not better than Arrow's 2nd season.
And I love both shows.I'm just giving my honest estimation.

I respect your opinion, but I honestly don't understand how anyone could feel that The Flash is the better show. Even when I'm not comparing it to Arrow (which I don't do nearly as often as you might suspect), I find it to be mediocre.

And it was hilarious how Ollie was warning Team Flash about his ID being a closely guarded secret.

I thought so too. :woot:

Flash is a little too "villain of the week", but it's only the first season, so I don't blame them for that.

Another decent episode, but far from perfect. At this point though, I think it was just about it being a fun cross-over more than a smooth narrative, so in that respect I did really enjoy it. Cisco brought the best humour yet again and Cap Boomerang was ****ing awesome, in the same vein as Deathstroke.

Next week is the real deal for me though. Ra's is finally here.

This episode was great. Once again, Oliver and Barry had great chemistry on the screen, and the contrasts in their personalities worked excellently. I also loved the interactions between the members of Team Flash and the members of Team Arrow. Experiencing all of the different personalities playing off each other was a real treat!

Yeah, I was pretty with it as well. They didn't drop a bomb or reveal some huge secret: we KNEW that Sandra had the baby and kept it a secret from Oliver.

Wasn't there supposed to be some epic reveal or something this episode? Or is it next episode?

I think it was the Firestorm glimpse in the Flash part of the crossover.

i dont get all into the schematics of Flash and Arrow like some people. i just enjoy watching the shows!... buuuutt after hearing Barry say "you should see his! it's on a tropical island!" when they dropped off boomerang !i cant help but wonder who is feeding and taking care of those guys? like do Ollie have a maintenance crew on that island? is Cisco and Katlin pulling mop duty to clean up after the Rainbow Raider? hahahah! i just think its funny they locked up those dudes and nobody gives em exercise time in the yard!

.... and you can bet Boomer and Stroke are going to bust out and raise hell! thats going to be good!

I think its funny two seprate actors from Spartacus are playing Boomerang.

Nothing topped Arrow falling from the building and Flash punching him...

Sorry, but the whole punching thing was cartoonish and silly, Oliver should've been hurt badly after that, like a few broken ribs or something. But hey, is just a silly superhero show right?

Wow. What an amazing episode. I enjoyed this a hell of a lot more than the Flash half. There was almost nothing that stood out to me as terrible or out of place, which has been criminally rare this season. I was surprised (but very pleased) that they were able to convincingly portray Captain Boomerang as a credible threat, and I hope that we haven't seen the last of him on Arrow.

This episode confirmed two things for me.

1) Arrow is, at least in my opinion, a much better show than The Flash, in more or less every way.

2) I don't give a damn about Lyla. She could have died tonight and I wouldn't have cared at all.

8.5/10. Best episode of the season so far.

I agree with you for the most part, but come on, Lyla is cool! :word:

I also liked this part of the crossover better, less silly and a good villain in Capt Boomerang. Usually, a story is only as good as its villain, and indeed it was.

Just as I thought it took The Flash, the superior show, to cross-over to make Arrow great again.

Well, the "superior" show only has one really interesting character IMO:
Harrison Wells

On the rest:

- Oliver is more complex and interesting than boy scout Barry.

- Diggle is a well-rounded character, while Cisco is comic relief.

- Laurel is becoming Black Canary, therefore, more interesting and more potential than Iris.

- Felicity is the most popular female character, so Arrow wins again.

Arrow has better action because is more grounded, so they have more realistic fights, but if you prefer superpowers, then you're just going to prefer The Flash. But to each its own, is all a matter of personal preferences.

Yeah, that was a one time thing unless the writers completely forget they wrote en episode where Barry was showing too much ego. So, it wasn't that big of a deal. I have a feeling Wells, had a contingency plan in case Girder proved not a reliable distraction. Even so, the writers played events out that Girder died (even caring enough to warn Barry to run).

Even if they have the other members go out in the field, I don't think it'll change their characters that much. Everyone on the Arrow team but Felicity pretty much had serious attitudes from the get-go in the present. So, it's really just who these characters are.

Didn't they have Ollie say something like the door doesn't work anymore?

the mugger thing was after the death of his child hood bully ad he was still to egoistical ad sorta telling the mugger he made a serious mistake while in his normal persona to me he';s still has a bit of issues there . & letting his foster dad know he was the flash too early ( that oe turned out ood for him but still it made his wear the mask to oille kinda counter/ pointless )was the first time the second time was the child hood bully and then that with the mugger. "you chose me to mug?"

I already said team arrow has other issue's that they have to learn better that was team flash's issue. any way it's time to let that part go for a bit.

Team arrows is like there security issue and detective work & common sense at times like nyssa talked about merlins second kid before she stormed off after ollie told her who the second kid was which was his sister & Diggle had to bother him with unnecessary talk about letting the killer kill Merlin. when panic alarms should be on some one should tail Nyssa in case she still goes after thea. ( yeah you mister former bodyguard ) and There's that thing Ollie has been doing since Waller taught it to him . His interrogation method as I said there are other ways to do a better job get his info but Waller only taught him one and my youngest sister called me up ask me about the show she agreed cause it did bite ollie in his arse last night with another base invasion. which was planned by the villain of the night .

but she also said something that didn't ocurre to me last night she said "what if that bomb i flash back was set up by Waller so she can teach that one and only not always effective interrogation method. As I said last Night there are other method as Burn Notice's Michel Weston mentioned them & the fact that what ollie always does can be manipulated or doesn't always work if at all and the better spy Nikita to arrow the tv showed in a really violent way.

As I said ollie didn't have the best teacher that came from the spy world & captain Boomerang showed him how what Waller taught him will back fire if it's always used. So I stand by what I said they both have alot to learn like it's over due time said Ollie it's time to move the base. He's making worse for thea too. his family as he was trying to push in the flash ad she's the last of his family. lol some people from each need to be taught better including the ones teaching who I state to some degree ollie shouldn't be teach some stuff. He is what waller made him. but I wouldn't say he was taught well by her. She wanted a killer / attack dog. not a real operative.

So was that the upgraded suit he was wearing in the last few minutes? It looked pretty much the same to me.

yeah Cisco did it it was just before ollie and flash went to that second lair of his to have a finish to the who's the better fighter in kick the others arse.

He has a second lair and he's using it only for that . or when he needs hide him self /think when he should be moving to another location base wise . Yeah Waller was a great teacher to Ollie. And Oliver's training others. Oh well.

Eerily similar, don't you think folks?lol

It is the new 52 look after all to a degree, not surprised some parts look similar.

i was referring more towards to the quality of the CGI than the design of the outfits.lol

lol I'm still not that surprised but they wanted to show the lairs of tecture with it and that CGI did a good job of what that would look Like if it was ever made. And that's prior to the shows suit. CGI has come a long way, though it's still expensive for a lot of people in their industry's.

"Smallville" though was able to do several "slow motion" sequences using Tom Welling and not a CGI model though.lol

I mean, I'm not exactly an expert, but would it have been impossible to shoot Grant in front of a Green Screen and just insert that onto the shot with Green Arrow for that sequence above?

I always Remember they always had us focus on his face when he ran the bobbing Tom Welling head or just him i a streak form.

oh yeah he used to be called the Blur if & when wally shows up they should just call wally that. it's better then The streak

I loved this crossover.
"I keep secrets for a living" got a laugh out of me.

The short interactions between Barry and Diggle where my favourite things about the two episodes.

Excellent showing of Captain Boomerang's ability. Barry using the salmon ladder at super speed was kind of funny. Interesting seeing Amanda Waller pushing Ollie down a darker path. About time Ollie got a costume upgrade.
