for the ppl who love Nolans Realism yet want to see a lazarus pit bring Ra's back or see Man Bat?? stop contradicting yourself... ppl coming back from the dead isnt very real.. and a Man Bat??? do i really need to continue??? lol

and anouther thing... why does there need to even be a 3rd and final film?? id looove to see this stay a franchise and continue.... if the director needs to change then fine... but lets keep the Batman films coming.. until they exhaust all the realms of possible realism lol

not my point lol but even if he was (and i think he is) ... how realistic would it be to have that happen? and not for nothing hes a long way from those pits to be revived... wouldnt they have to find his body and lug it all the way back to those hills?? that would take a day or two no???

In the end of Batman 3, Batman will step into the Black Lodge where he will meet his evil doubleganger.

I would like to see MORE of the Batman "mythos" that we love from the comics. I mean:
-The Batcave completed
-Bruce Wayne´s mansion restored
-A new and redesigned Batmobile, maybe?
-Batpod still there
-A new suit

More like "comic", but with Chris Nolan, of course, and his realism.

agreed

honestly I think B89 had the best ending out of all the batman films. Id really like them to do something very very similar seeing as how they destroyed the bat signal at the end of TDK.

i 4get the ending, what happened?

Listen to you all whining about how you want the third movie to be more 'comicy'. Really? Batman Forever and Batman & Robin were more comicy. The Dark Knight is a great movie and you all want the formula to change from it...how lame.
Comics are just a medium. The "fun camp" you're referring to is what has been typical of mainstream superhero comics, but not all comics are like that. But then again, most people would rather label "serious comics" as "graphic novels." :cwink: But it's still just a medium.

Actually there was a sequence in TDK which was more "comicy" than any other superhero film I can recall, but subtly so. When Lau is talking to the mob about how the GPD is planning to seize their money, the audience sees Gordon organizing the search and seizure of the five banks, only to find that the money is already gone. The overlay of the two contrasting mini-stories is a hallmark of what comics can do effectively, and TDK managed to take that from the medium of comics. and apply that to film just as effectively.

I thought the slow pan up the building to the batsignal, with Batman standing triumphantly was rather hokey, actually. :o I don't think Nolan would ever do that - he's more into more spontaneous, subtle visuals in exchange for a powerful story.

I LOVED the ending of TDK. It was a cliffhanger, yes, but it showed the love that Batman had for the people of his city, and what he was willing to sacrifice for them. That's always what Batman has represented for me.

you know its easy for Batman to take the weight of the 5 dead being he doesnt come out much during the day and is very stealth at night... hes like "sure blame me.. i have two personas, i can sacrafice one for the team" he can just play the roof tops and avoid everyone.. lol

I wouldn't want to see Robin in the film, but the idea of him adopting Dick Grayson and having him bringing a little light back to Bruce's life would be interesting to me.

Also I say keep the new suit, I really dig it.

I just want Batman to end that will make all Batman fans cheer and make other people want into the dealXD

Not just that, LOL. Normally when someone does so much, they want credit. That's what being a "hero" is - receiving credit for the good that you've done.

Batman doesn't need that. He just wants to do the right thing.

Wayne Manor
The Batcave
The Batboat
A new Batmobile
The batsignal relight the sky
Batman still an outsider of the law.(what happen to him in the end of TDK is still in the air but not as bad.)
Gotham will never know the truth.

I don't know if Nolan and co. would go for it, (if they even come back) but I'd love Bats to say the "I'm the g*****n Batman." line.

haha check the titles for the 3rd movie thread :cwink: :woot:

I would love to see Batman at his parents grave, then see the Batsignal in the sky. Something like this or B89's ending. Anything really uplifting which can capture everything hes about in one image.

I can't find the quote, but a great Batman writer once said something to this effect:

"There is only one way to end a Batman story, with him on top of a building seeing the signal and going off to his next mission"

I personally agree :)
