Ask Your Nerd Trivia Questions! - Part 1

Marlon Brando did not want Sylvester Stallone to play the role of Superman.
I guess he was going to be an early Nicholas Cage version of Superman if had did end up in the role, but I guess they did not want someone expendable in the titular role.

Brando was kind of a dick in this whole Superman I/II affair.

So, I was watching Geeks Who Drink the other night and the one game was called Hulk or Thing. The host would read a clue and the teams had to say if it referred to The Hulk or The Thing.

Now, here's the fun part...

The clue was, "Was in The Fantastic Four." The one team replied with The Thing and was told they were correct. My question is, why were they, in fact, wrong?

If it's not the She-Hulk answer, perhaps it's because they used the past tense of was? He is in the Fantastic Four.

What's Clark Kent's middle name? According to "Smallville" why was Clark chosen as his first name?

For the second part, wasn't his mothers last name Clark?

In the old Hulk TV show there is a reporter named Jack McGee, his name was used in the 2008 Hulk movie, when did he show up? And who accompanied him?

The McGee name was given to the student that recorded with his phone the Hulk battle against the soldiers on the college campus. The student next to him was given the name Jim Wilson. Also, you can see the name Rick Jones as listed among known associates in the opening credit sequence.

Gold star for the fast and detailed response.

Alien, uber geek trivia : what is the name of the beer brand that the Nostrom crew drinks ?

Hint :
same name as the prison in Judge Dredd

It's Cryo Tube, edit : or was it Iso Cube in the Stallone movie, not sure anyway that's not it.

PS : I said it was an uber geek question :p

Another more explicit hint :
Alien beer brand = Judge Dredd penitentiary institution name

And I just watched Alien last week. :p

You can easily miss it, you see the bottles in the lounge room when they all meet after cryo sleep for the briefing . You may use pause to see it.

Edit : I remember it because I offer my father a geek T Shirt inspired from Alien with the brand as logo.

Speaking of Alien: What was the original description of the chestburster Alien in the script called by people before they changed it for being stupid?

Also what was the original name of the movie before Alien?

The 8th passenger.
I don't understand the first question.

The original design of the chestburster looked incredibly stupid. Giger, the designer for 90% of the scary **** in the really good horror movies called it a certain name because he thought it was terribly stupid and he redesigned it to pretty much what we now know.

Mmph I must dig in my Alien memorabilia ...
I got HR Giger's book design and a lot of Alien(s) stuff but my memory is failing me on this particular matter.
